I go by either he/him or they/them pronouns (no preference), and I'm from the west coast of the United States. I'm a cosplayer, dancer, and doodler!
I started both dance and cosplay in about 2011~2012, and they've been deeply connected hobbies for me ever since. While I've explored and undergone formal training in a number of styles over the years, I have strong preferences for modern/contemporary, waving, and breaking. You can often find me at any events local to my region that allow me to give a dance-adjacent cosplay performance. I've recently begun to focus on developing cosplay construction methods that complement this mode of expression!
I've also been drawing for essentially my whole life, and these days I alternate this hobby with my costuming and performing arts. My style derives from my favorite anime visual styles, tactile input, and spite. 😛
As far as fandoms go, Vocaloid is what got me started on my current artistic journey, so I'd have to call it an eternal favorite! (And you can probably tell within about five seconds of being exposed to my taste in music. 🤣)
I'm not as into anime as I have been previously, though I still draw inspiration from some of my old favorites on occasion.
Which brings me to video games -- my current primary source of inspiration! I got into Fire Emblem around 2017, and while I have only played a few of the games, it's been one of my favorite series ever since. These days, I also love Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Wuthering Waves.
Oh yeah, and I'm queer. A man enjoyer through and through. (And a dragon enjoyer, for that matter. 🐉) So hang around for a minute or two and you're basically guaranteed to witness me gushing about my favorite guys. 😛✨🏳️🌈

Bio: A professor at Startorch academy, widely loved by the student body despite the difficulty of her exams. No one really knows her age, but she states she is "a bonafide senior citizen like Mr. Herssen.".
"I'm sorry but bringing me waffles ain't gonna win you extra credit. Come to my afternoon classes, I'll put you along the roll."
— Chaotic, a little manic on occasion, kind and considerate of students. She seems to have a specific love for sending unhinged reaction images in group chats in Wavesline, which sparked her popularity with students.
— Everyone is aware that she has a very close relationship with Dr. Herssen. If pressed, she'd tell you that they've been friends for a long time, and long enough to know he used to burn his cakes before.
— Tends to carry a gun along with her.
— Resonator, category unknown.
— Golden eyes like Rover. She's aware that Luuk is colourblind and can only see gold.
— Knew Rover before, but they're not very close. She likes to call whatever is between them and Luuk "some sort of situationship he never got over and it's been 20 years."
—Has a small circle of friends, doesn't tend to expand social circles. An old habit of her that she carries over to Solaris.

— originates from an alternative version of earth similar to modern era earth. Her planet and dimension had been devoured by Aleph-1, and a rift had caused her to enter Solaris. She is perpetually frozen at the age of 23, forever unaging like her world that she will never see.
— Had to rely on the kindness of Solaris natives to temporarily survive and get back on her feet. She used to be quite reserved in the process of her own grief, but persevered. She keeps her old habits with her to cope, and cannot react normally to certain situations.
— She's been friends with Luuk since the days before Rover. She taught him how to cook, and was with him for mostly thick and thin.
— Incomplete prefrontal cortex due to being physically frozen at 23. She isn't immature, just prone to decision making often done by people in their early twenties despite living for much longer.
— Has lived with Luuk long enough she can mimic his handwriting.
— Makes references to Earth pop culture. No one gets it. Luuk thought she was a hallucination at one point in the 25 years of friendship and he was proven wrong because she smacked him in the face for even suggesting she was one.
— Tends to make her own yogurt. Has a habit of giving the extra away to her circle of friends and co-workers. Tries to spare the students from eating the artificially engineered slop people called food in the academy.
— Has a habit of ignoring her own problems and not talking about her real feelings. She doesn't like having to talk about it, but sometimes vents to Luuk and sleeps in his office right after.
— Goes to observe void storms and looks after students on research expeditions. Will in fact risk her life to protect them.

Folk, I’m gonna vaguepost for a sec here, but it’s an important one.
If you are in the United States and not employed by a zoo or sanctuary or a veterinarian working with a facility, if anyone for any reason offers to allow you to touch a big cat, please do not do it.
No matter how much you want to, no matter how much it is a dream, understand that it is a violation of federal law that could get the facility the cat lives at in very serious trouble. It does not matter if it is through the fence, or in the context of a trained behavior, or if the cat is on a leash. Even if it feels “safe” or they swear the facility condones it.
It’s starting to appear that lots of zookeepers have not been informed appropriately about the scope of the law - or in cases where they do know it’s inappropriate, they are sometimes being overridden by their management and forced to allow encounters. (Even at accredited facilities!)
We do not know exactly what the penalties could be for that happening within an accredited zoo (yay badly implemented laws) but it typically comes down to being risk to a) the cat’s welfare b) the facility’s ability to have any big cats at all and c) someone, either the facility owner or the person offering, could go to jail or pay serious fines. There are two instances of this happening at AZA zoos that were leaked recently and we may now find out how bad it’s going to get for them.
Lots of facilities will have big cat pelts as educational biofacts that they will allow you to touch. You do not ever need to take the risk associated with touching a live big cat - generally anywhere, and especially in the US.
And for some reason, if you ever are in that situation and unethical enough to actually touch the cat? Don’t post it on social media and definitely don’t make that post public. 🙄

imo you get the most out of engaging with media when you strike a balance between treating characters as people (reading interiority into their actions, considering the effect of various aspects of their identity, etc etc) and as vehicles for storytelling (what narrative purpose do they serve, how do their actions and personality function to convey the themes of the work, etc etc). because of course characters are literary devices but also there’s a reason we use literary devices written to embody realistic people in order to tell stories

When I play games like Fire Emblem I can't help but ponder what it'd be like to live in a world where I'm actually attracted to people and also where sex had no consequences. I'd definitely be slutting myself out a lot more
