I don't think I've ever seen anyone make artworks about how uncomfortable and weird it can feel to have a stand that hasn't been 'tamed' yet, especially when there's no one around to explain what's happening to you.

For entire life, Giorno had perceived other people's Stands solely as a trick of his own sick imagination, and now one such 'hallucination' was hovering over him, breathing down his neck. It was enough to make you go crazy.

I'm messing with their look. I wanted to dress them up more decently, but... You see, how it looks. I also thought the idea of giving them nicknames based on flowers was funny.

Hii I rly love ur giorno art!! I saw ur mini comic with giorno and abbacchio and bruno and rly liked it!! People dont explore giornos childhood trauma enough in fanworks i think. Hes my favorite character by a long shot and im really excited to see if you do more comics in your au!! (Assuming its an au—i saw your other post about characterization and making giorno 18)

It's worth noting that Giorno's backstory here is just a tiiiny bit different from the original. He never met any gangster, which means his hellish relationship with his family and surroundings didn't end until he was fourteen. After finishing his compulsory education*, Giorno did everything he could to start working and leave home as soon as possible. He found a job at a small bar — the owner really liked the idea of attracting customers with an exotic-looking, handsome employee, even if that employee could barely bring himself to greet the customers.

*I hope this information is accurate. In Italy in the nineties and two-thousands, there was a law stating that until the age of majority, a child had to either study or work. One option was working under a contract while simultaneously undergoing vocational training at a night school. Essentially, this was the situation Giorno was forced into. The more you know! :D

A few words about his boss. A cunning, greedy, but not malicious little man named Gaetano Scamorza (or simply Signor Scamorza). He pays the boy a ridiculously low wage, not because he's such a miser, but simply by agreement — Giorno desperately asked him to vouch for him with the administrators of the night school, and the businessman agreed out of pity.
