holy the new UU ep is so good (even tho it was lowk js the same as wemmbu's pov but whtv).

im glad we got flame's perspective bcs in flame's pov, wemmbu is basically SILENT the whole 1v1 until the end where he asks flame if he got it all out of his system (bcs lets be honest bro was just straight yapping and basically venting that whole fight).

wemmbu understands flame to an extent.

flame lost his standing as the strongest, the one thing that gave him i guess reason, meaning, and purpose. in his previous fight with wemmbu, he had lost his chestplate that symbolised that power. he lost his meaning much like wemmbu did constantly (with zam's betrayal, 'lost cause', gaining power, losing his invis identity).

wemmbu went on the same journey that flame is going through, finding his meaning/regaining his status and using revenge as a way to get a grasp of that. i don't think wemmbu is gonna chase after flame after/during the lettuce arc becaue of that, because he knows holding onto meaning and purpose will eventually just have him lose it in the end. there's no point.

i really wanna see wemmbu like just fully sort of give up after all that he's lost and just be miserable idk if feels fitting after he just fully admitted to flame and gave up.

Do you think that Wemmbu throwing the mace away, only to have Lettuce pick it back up and use it against him is symbolism of how whenever Wemmbu tries to leave anything behind it rears its head back to haunt him. He takes a step back, remembers everything everyone ever said to him and accepts the fact that he’ll never be the strongest and he’s okay with that.

He’s learned ever since season 1, heck ever since pze arc that sometimes it might be better to just let things go but it always comes back to haunt him when he tries to let it go, like Theo coming to fight him when he was trying to settle with Egg. Which is why during the power arc he doesn’t let go of the forge and his need for power.

Do we think this might be the start of character devolvement, like a 1 step forward 2 steps back situation? Or do we think this is a show of character development as he works through despite the world telling him to stay down?

I think theres something interesting to note about wemmbu's pov in unstable.

He's not someone who does lore or takes lore seriously. See season 1, a lot of it was simply fighting, trying to get better, get revenge, but not really telling a story about the world itself. His episodes are pvp focused and he often avoids lore.

Eggchan on the other hand, actively seeks out lore. He has a notebook with all the information, he readily explores locations. He's really the one who points wemmbu in the direction of lore. I think the most obvious example is the jadan episode where egg specifically seeks out information about the underground city.

And i think it's a perfect balance and a perfect example of show, not tell. Wemmbu's character will never acknowledge the deeper issues/feelings behind his place in the server, that's just who he is. ntentionally or subconsciously, he will avoid thinking too deeply about things. He will never acknowledge why the maces are so important to him. How his stint with zam affects him to this day. He'll ignore the impact rejoice made on his playstyle, despite keeping the sunflower in his enderchest. Always do first, think later.

And when you dont stop to think about it, it's very superficial, surface level. Like there's no deeper meaning to it. And i think that's the trap a lot of viewers fall into, that wemmbu is just a pvp focused, no lore, not very interesting, repetitive pov.

What people miss is that egg is more than a comedic relief. He's the thinker, the one who holds wemmbu back. He stops to consider various options and is averse to jumping into danger. Egg shows wemmbu's story through the lore, dragging his friend through the world, looking for meaning. Inadvertently showing wemmbu that theres no hiding from it, no matter what. Hes the compass that will eventually point wemmbu in the right direction.

The theme of repetition, of past becoming present, cant be ignored. Egg's thirst for lore will push wemmbu to finally acknowledge his feelings, the cycle hes stuck in, and that something needs to change.

SPOILERS FOR UU

yesyesyeyyeyesss egg is most definitely wemmbu's compass and wemmbu never sits still in one place because that means he has to think about everything (zam empire, manepear (lost cause), lopezz and rejoice) and how all of it seriously affects him still.

wemmbu's whole training arc was because of the events of zam empire because he could never let himself be that vulnerable and 'weak' again.

wemmbu's power arc was because he was yet again abandoned by someone who he trusted as well as being seen as 'weak' again. getting all that power and beating flame was a way for him to prove himself without knowing it.

after getting all that power there was nothing left to do but confront everything he hadn't confronted from his past so ofc he finds some way to avoid it (becoming invisbu).

alongside the sunflower from rejoice he also kept the button boosfer gave him, the compass leading to flame, and i'm sure he has a bunch of other stuff in his e-chest he keeps from other people. he's sentimental.

mane had said he was sentimental and him trolling on wemmbu's sentimental pre-training e-chest was showing us wemmbu's weakness. even though he has all this ego and all this confidence, connections and the trust he unknowingly give to others will be his downfall (him giving his mace up for egg, him teaming up with someone who wanted him dead (TWICE BTW), the whole manepear training arc)

it's funny because flame is kinda the opposite but also the same. flame's downfall is that he doesn't have connections or close bonds other than lomedy and even then that's iffy. the whole reason he finally got to wemmbu is because he asked parrot, but he also trusts way too easily. AUHHHSHDHHDH... MINECRAFT LORE IS NOT THAT SRS IM SO INVESTED UAUGGGHGH.

AND THENN recent vid wemmbu realises all of that was for nothing, he couldn't prove to himself and manepear that he wasn't just a 'lost cause'. im just wondering where he'll go from here esp after he escapes from being captured by whoever will save him. like geniunely who would?? mane? egg and minute? heck maybe spoke bruh.
