Thank you so much! This made my day since I don't have much interaction here :) I'm glad and really grateful to know someone loves my art. My OC's background isn't really related to canon though, he came from a made up land named Emeraldite and in my shipping alternative universe hm

If Merlin’s destiny in the prophecy of Kilgharrah and the druids was to serve Camelot, Merlin himself is the destiny of Silas. As a descendant of the Grim Reaper, from the very first moment Silas met Merlin he knew this was the person he was bound to love, and bound to guide to the afterlife in order to break his own curse of immortality and become a Grim Reaper (it’s not exactly a curse of immortality. Rather, it's just that every Grim Reaper descendant in Silas’s bloodline must guide the one they love to the afterlife before they are truly ready to embrace death, it means they can only die after their love one's death then become an official Grim Reaper. So it wasn't originally meant to be a curse of immortality at all, it's just that because Merlin happens to be immortal it ended up turning into one hhh)

Merlin however is immortal. He is the embodiment of magic itself, as long as magic exists in the world so does he. As a result, Silas, unable to reap the soul of the lover entrusted to his fate, remains immortal as well. And they're just being lovebirds for forever :) I just love peaceful fluffy stuff

i just realised he smells super comforting... i thought he didn't have any scent since i hadn't spray any fragrance mist, but when i pressed him against my nose to sniff as a joke i found out he had this cozy scent of yarn and blush
