minjun adjusted his face mask and hands free earbud, then made sure his clothes were in the right place. his phone was placed carefully in his chest pocket, and the belts on his shoes were as tight as they could be. he could not afford an accident, he needed his flexibility for this. he breathed out and started to run, sliding under a parked car just a few meters away.
j, you hear me?
“loud and clear, princess. tell me, where do i start?”
well, your position is not ideal.
“you don’t say. just tell me where to go.”
I saw the widow near the school building. let me check on dj. get out of there. over.
minjun pressed the button and the call ended. he looked around, he was in a tight place. not ideal, for sure. he sighed and slid away from the car in time, because its owner just returned. minjun laid low, breathing as slowly as he could. he recognised his arts teacher. shit. luckily, he did not see minjun, and drove away as if nothing happened. minjun ran away, and climbed on a stone fence to get visibility. he spotted the post office, and some people coming out.
“hey kid! what’re you doin’ there?” minjun jumped down and ran away as far as he could. he hid behind the first car he saw parked outside of the office.
j, what the fuck?
“I had a clear view. I need to get closer to the school. where is dj?”
be careful, that was the janitor. dj’s position is near the diner, he saw ash. we have to get the widow and end the game.
“I know, wait,” minjun backed away from the car as he saw a woman approach it. luckily, there was a building close-by. he managed to run and get inside the building – one of the few empty spaces in yangwon, ready to be rent and therefore always open. it was a pretty tall building, so that gave minjun an idea. he found the staircase and got up to the last floor, opened a window and climbed out, and on the roof.
nice spiderman. now mind you, the town plaza is full of people. stay low.
“sure, boss,” he mumbled and moved very slowly, laying low just like he was asked to. he took out his binnacles and looked towards the school. the view was perfect. he spotted a girl in pink moving around, waving at the arts teacher as he got inside. it was her. “got you, widow.”
now make sure you hit the target.
“I will have to get closer than this. she looks like she is heading home.”
then you follow. get wheels.
“wheels, you say? no problem.”
I got ash, hurry j. I think he told the widow.
“thanks, dj. I will.”
minjun hung up and made his way back inside the building, then ran out of it before anyone could see him. as he got closer to the school, he saw some kids playing outside, some with bikes and – bingo. he took his mask off and approached them with a smile, asking if he could borrow their skateboard – with promises to return it. one of the kids recognised him, and gave his skateboard away in awe, then waved. minjun got on the skateboard and rolled away, with speed. he knew where the widow was heading.
“got wheels. what is your position, k. o.?”
just outside the library. i have ammo, will give you some.
be there in five.”
minjun rolled all the way to the library, and met his friend k. o., got his bag and continued his ride. he was on jangmi street, exactly where he wanted to be. unfortunately, he had to be sneaky about it. he moved slowly, trying to remain unseen. he spotted his teacher’s house – he has visited before. he knew his teacher was not at home, so he took it upon himself to use one of the pillars as a spying spot. luckily, the widow’s home was nearby, so he had a perfect shot at her backyard. he took his binnacles out and observed.
j, you see her?
“not yet, princess. but i have a perfect shot.”
good, pink. make sure you use pink.
“got you.”
minjun took his backpack off and took out a gun – a toy gun mind you. some gun that shot colourful paint instead of actual bullets. he slid a pink capsule inside, and looked for his target. the widow was outside, at the edge of her pool.
“target in place.”
remember, her strong suit is distraction. just shoot her as soon as you have visibility.
“got to love summer.”
yeah, he kind of did. especially when pretty girls took their shirts of to go inside the pool. this was one of the reasons the widow was so hard to catch – she got everyone, even princess, swooning over her. minjun concentrated, raised the gun and fixed his target. if anyone could make that shot, it was him. and he pulled the trigger. the paint ball flew right in her leg, staining it pink. the widow turned around gasping. she did not expect anyone to get her, she was the best after all. she spotted minjun, and he waved at her.
“game over, widow,” he yelled so that she can hear, then jumped down the pillar – only to turn into his arts teacher. mr geun looked very confused, and minjun could feel his heart beating fast - oh no.
“I believe you have a perfectly good explanation as to why you are shooting paint from my fence, right minjun?” mr geun smiled at him, and minjun felt so embarrassed.
“I --- sir, I am sorry—“
“perhaps a cup of tea would help you open up?” mr geun said and unlocked the door, opening it for minjun. minjun was so embarrassed he could not refuse, instead he walked inside the yard.

“too late for that, talk to you tonight guys,” minjun answered quickly and hung up, walking towards the house. he could see the widow chuckling at his misfortune while waving at mr geun.
life has been busy, to say the very least. minjun has been preparing for the blast before his life truly begins. finals were approaching fast and he would never admit that he was nervous – actually, he could feel his entire body get tense just when he thought about it. the festival came as a perfect opportunity to relax. and what other way to relax than with your friends? dongwan was one of the people he enjoyed spending time with, but unfortunately busy schedules did not allow them to meet very often. given the boy was older than him, and way busier with important things – not school – minjun did not insist on seeing him everymeet day. but since the festival was around the corner, he booked – read that as begged – dongwan to come and spend some time with him. he was glad his invitation was accepted.
so, there he was – ice skates in his hands, yellow sweater on, and a pair of ripped jeans which shall not belong on ice. he was waiting patiently for his friend. the moment he spotted dongwan, he ran to him. he was certain the boy got startled by his sudden intrusion, but did he care? sure, a little. but there were other important matters at hand – or in hand.
“we are skating. also, what took you so long? you literally live five minutes away,” minjun was already fired up, excited to skate. he did have the tendency to get overexcited and waiting was not his favourite activity. he grabbed dongwan’s wrist and dragged him to the first bench. his shoes flew off so quickly, they almost got lost in the crowd. minjun tied his ice skates, and looked at his friend. “what are you waiting for? go get a pair!” and he made sure his message was heard – because he did shake dongwan a bit. kids, right?
the only chance of survival in a crowded place was to keep moving. the moment you would stop, they would capture you in a cruel dance of ‘oh, let’s shove him there’. and minjun had to experience the inconvenience on his own skin – he got an elbow right in his side, and it took him a great deal of self-control – which we can agree he does not have – not to curse. when he finally reached the hot beverage stand, he sighed in relief. he was ready to get his drink, and get out of there, as quickly as possible. but then – well, call it mother faith – he froze in his spot. and it was not because it was cold outside – because holy crap it was – but no. there something bothering him, or shall we say someone? perhaps, she was a someone. even if minjun would have likely called her an angel – forgive his infant state of crushing. the celestial being was chatting with one of minjun’s closest peers from school. his friend and the girl were pretty close, but minjun never got to know her better. he knew she was much younger than him – ‘much’ because he was already of legal age, and a senior, and they did not share a class. there were times when he tried to have a casual conversation with her, but his tongue would get tied – which, for everyone who knows him, is a miracle. so he resorted to a close observation, noting of details – like that cute wrinkle under her eye when she smiled.
he was getting way ahead of himself.
so he did the next stupid thing any minjun does – he grabbed two drinks. as if carrying one drink was not hard enough, considering the crowded space. hot chocolate, he focused on the cup of hot chocolate. he was almost there, he heard her voice, she was laughing. his friend was also laughing, saying goodbye afterward. this was it – it was his chance to formally introduce himself. he eyed her, and glided closer. he glided right into the person in front of her, an older woman – and then when she turned around, oh well. the hot chocolate flew out of his hand, missing his crush by an inch. his facial expression was a mixture between shock and utter anger. the lady excused herself and moved away. minjun was left exposed – naked in the middle of the crowd, with her staring at him.
“that is not the ‘hello’ I planned. did that get you? I mean the hot drink – are you hurt? it is burning hot,” and he knew it was burning, because it got all over his exposed hand – great day to forget gloves, ey? amazing – minjun, the clumsy buffoon. kill me now.
minjun LOVES snow, and SLEDDING is probably his favourite activity in winter. NOBODY can win a competition with him. at least that is what he LIKES to believe. but you challenge him, and WINTER just got hot. he is ready to FIGHT for his spotlight.

SKATING you say? hell YEAH. minjun adores dangerous sports, and NOTHING screams danger like sharp blades on ice. his coordination is NO JOKE, but he might lack some balance. and it is not like YOU have control. it takes ONE wrong move to land in his EMBRACE.
TAKE SHELTER // all your colours start to burn
night time on ICE. he did not have enough of IT. as night FALLS and the show of lights covers the ice, he feels FREE. he forgot that he is not ALONE. you spot him dancing, sliding on ICE and feel the need to JOIN. so, you ask for a SONG and get on ice, challenging him.

a HOT beverage, and a LOT of people laughing, moving, and chatting. minjun spots SOMEONE familiar, and wants to do a good deed – if you WISH a failed attempt to FLIRT a good deed. he buys a hot – SCORCHING – tea and heads towards the person, only to MISS them by an inch when the drink was knocked out of his hands.
SHINE // don’t leave me behind
a friend he NOW calls betrayer shows his/her face at the FESTIVAL. fair enough, PUBLIC event, but minjun thinks it is HUMILIATING. he does NOT remember why they fell out, but he REMEMBERS he has to plan his revenge. so when they INNOCENTLY sign up for ice fishing, minjun does not hesitate to JOIN too. just wait – he is out for BLOOD.
METEORITE // planets start to spin I’m ready to ignite
well, shit. his newest crush asks HIM to help with a sculpture. him, with his HULK hands? oh, boy. he HOPES they cannot see how nervous he is. they start working on the sculpture and – he CUTS a part of it off. he quickly TRIES to fix it before his crush notices his clumsiness.
