“Are you sure that coming here is okay?” You ask Jisung while stepping into his and Minho's shared apartment.
Jisung nods his head with a smile, shutting the door behind you. “Of course. I asked hyung, and he said it was fine,” he reassures you as you slip your shoes off. “If you're not comfortable here, we can go to your place.”
You shake your head, holding a hand out in front of you. “No, no, it's okay. I'm just… nervous, I guess,” you chuckle, moving to sit on the white couch. “I know that we're not really allowed to see each other. I don't want you to get into trouble.”
“I won't, trust me,” Jisung smiles, sitting down beside you. “I'm careful when it comes to you.” His eyes glance down at your hand, slowly moving his hand closer to yours.
“God, who knew you were such a sweet talker,” you giggle, feeling yourself getting a little flustered.
He gently places his hand on yours, grabbing it before intertwining your fingers together. “I need to keep you around somehow,” Jisung flirts, kissing the back of your conjoined hands.
“You don't need to keep me around, Ji,” you tell him, shaking your head. “I'm low-key down bad for you.”
Jisung wiggles his brows, causing you to chuckle some more. “Yeah you are, baby,” he grins ear to ear, leaning in closer to you.
Your heart races in your chest as you scoot an inch closer to him. You squeeze his hand and look over at him, meeting his eyes.
His free hand finds your cheek, his thumb gently stroking the apple of them. “You're so pretty, you know that?” Jisung sighs lovingly, his eyes flickering to your lips for a hot second.
“Says the pretty one,” you joke with him, leaning forward so your forehead is resting against his bangs.
Jisung brings your face in, slowly placing a kiss on your lips. You release a quiet groan as you proceed to kiss him back, bringing your free hand to his forearm.
You break away from the kiss, and Jisung moves his lips to your cheek, peppering a few kisses on both sides. “Ji,” you laugh, moving your face away from him a bit.
“Baby, don't move away from me,” he whines, circling his arms around your waist to hold you close to him.
“Well, I need to breathe,” you tell him, combing your fingers through his hair.
“You can breathe me,” he jokes with you, nuzzling his face into your neck.
You playfully roll your eyes, finding it adorable at how goofy Jisung can be. “As much as you'd love that, unfortunately, it's impossible.”
Jisung pulls back from your neck, a pout on his plump lips. “You're telling me that you wouldn't want to breathe me? I'm hurt,” he says, moving a hand to his chest.
“Isn't that a bit dramatic?” You ask him, tapping your finger against the pout he's still sporting.
“I'd breathe you if I could,” he huffs, giggling afterward. Jisung doesn't give you much time to think or answer as he swiftly kisses you once more.
The sound of the apartment door opening and closing snaps both of you from your moment. Minho walks into the apartment, a takeout bag in his hands. He stops to look at the two of you, squinting his eyes before he starts walking towards the kitchen.
“If you're going to act mushy, go to your room,” Minho mutters to the both of you before entering the kitchen.
Jisung stands up from the couch, extending his hand to you. “C'mon, baby,” he giggles, and you place your hand in his, getting off of the couch as well.
“At least eat first!” Minho yells, causing the two of you to stop in your tracks and turn to head into the kitchen.
~
Your phone vibrates as you get to the lobby of Jisung's apartment building. A smile comes to your lips as you read his text, making sure to remember to text him when you get back to your place.
You push the door open, feeling the cold wind hit your face and you fully step outside. You're walking down the steps when two girls suddenly run up to you.
“Excuse me,” one of them calls out, gaining your attention.
“Uh, yes?” You ask, feeling a little confused.
“I'm sorry. We're just wondering if you lived here?” The other girl asks you, making you a little uncomfortable.
You furrow your brows and tuck your coat closer to yourself. “I don't, but I'm not sure that's any of your business,” you tell the two girls before attempting to walk towards the train station.
“Sorry! We don't mean to seem rude. We're just curious if you know if Han Jisung lives here?? He's from Stray Kids!” The first girl speaks up again, both of them following you.
Your heart pounds quickly in your chest as you glance back at the apartment building. “I don't know if he does or not. Like I said, I don't live here. I'm just visiting a family member,” you lie to them, providing an apologetic smile.
“Damn, okay, sorry for bothering you,” they apologize and start to walk away. You watch the two of them, hearing part of their conversation on how they were sure that Jisung lives here.
Your heart rate begins to calm down as you start to walk towards the train station again. That was pretty close… You think to yourself, starting to get into your head. What would've happened if he walked me out? You continue to think while walking, stuffing your hands into your pockets.
The two of you haven't been dating for very long, and you're not going to lie, this interaction has you shook. You've seen what fan bases do to idols and their partners when they are public, hence why your relationship isn't.
You're glad that the train ride back to your place isn't too long, maybe twenty minutes max. Once you're safely in your apartment, you text Jisung that you made it home safely, leaving out the part of the two girls who stopped you.
Your phone vibrates when you settle into your bedroom, sitting on the edge of your bed.

I'm glad you made it home safely! I still wish you let me drive you back, but as long as you're home now 🥰

Baby, you don't even drive 😭 Minho would have driven us, but it's okay!! I had a good time tonight! I'll text you tomorrow, okay?? Good night 🥰
Jisung stares at the text from you, his brows furrowed a bit at the last part of it. “Going to bed already?” He mutters to himself, checking the time. “It's only ten.”
Minho stands in Jisung's doorway, his arms crossed over his chest. “What's the matter?” He asks him, coming into the room.
“I'm not sure. We usually text into the early hours of the morning, but not tonight, I guess,” he mentions, turning his head to look at his hyung. “I'm trying not to overthink this but–”
Minho pats the younger member’s head before ruffling his hair slightly. Jisung whines, pushing Minho's hand away from him. “I'm sure everything is okay, Ji. Try not to get into your head too much,” Minho reassures him before walking back out of his bedroom.
Jisung glances down at his phone, seeing the two of you on his home screen. His heart skips in his chest, hoping that this is all in his head.
He pulls up your text conversation again, sending one last message.

It's been a few days since you've seen Jisung. The interaction you had with a couple of fans still weighs heavy on your mind. You've hardly texted him, and a part of you wonders if he's noticed.
You run a hand through your hair, taking a deep breath before hearing your phone begin to ring. You peek over at the device, seeing Jisung calling you. You chew at your bottom lip for a hot second before deciding to pick it up.
“Hi, Ji,” you say with a smile.
“Hi, my baby. Are you busy??” Jisung asks you, and you're not going to lie, you missed hearing his voice.
You hum in response, thinking about what you've got going on today, which is nothing. “I am not! Do you wanna come over?” You ask him with a giggle, glancing down at the floor.
“Ugh, I wish I could. I was actually going to ask if you wanted to come by the company?? I have a schedule until late, and I was thinking we could have dinner?” Jisung mentions an idea to you, and the smile on your lips falters a bit.
“At JYPE?” You mutter, already feeling nervous about fans.
Jisung notices the change in tone, and he quickly tries to reassure you. “Yeah, yeah. Uhm, I can send someone to pick you up if you want.” You stay silent, thinking about it deeply. “Maybe I shouldn't have asked you that. It's just… recently, you've been pretty distant, and I miss you.”
Your chest clenches, chewing on your bottom lip. “I'm sorry, baby. I miss you too, truly. Uhm, send me what you want to eat, and I can pick it up head over?” You decide to go with the idea, hating the fact that you're making him worried.
“I can get something delivered when you get here. Just come straight here. I'll meet you in the lobby, okay?”
You agree before bidding each other goodbye. You set your phone down on the bed and take a deep breath. You can do this. You slip on your shoes, grabbing your wallet and house keys before leaving your apartment.
After a twenty minute taxi ride, the vehicle pulls up to the JYP building. You thank the driver before exiting the taxi, shutting the door behind you. You can see a few groups of people standing around the building, and you decide to scroll through one of your social media apps while you walk up to the building.
Your heart is racing in your chest as you hear bits and pieces of their conversations while you pass by. Luckily, none of them are Stray Kids related. Just as you're about to get to the front door, you hear a familiar voice.
“Hey! You're the girl from the other day!” Your blood runs cold as the same two girls run up to you. “Do you work here??”
You laugh awkwardly and shake your head no. “No, God, no. If you'll excuse me,” you attempt to push forward, not wanting to be anywhere near them anymore.
“Wait! We just wanna–” their voices get cut off as you quickly walk through the front doors. Security stands on the other side, and you provide the worker a kind smile.
“Hi, I'm here to see Han Jisung,” you mention while looking around, seeing your boyfriend sitting off to the side. “He's right there.”
Jisung looks up once he hears your voice, a large grin appearing on his lips. “You're here!” He says excitingly, getting up from his seat.
The security guard lets you through, and you quickly walk over to Jisung. You grab his hand, tugging him away from the lobby, not knowing if the two girls are still trying to peek around.
“You okay?” He asks you, squeezing your hand gently.
You nod your head, turning to look at him. “I'm okay, Ji,” you reassure him, the two of you standing in front of the elevators.
He presses the button, and the doors open up instantly. You step inside first, and he follows, pressing another button before the doors close. You subconsciously release a deep breath, leaning back against the wall.
Jisung keeps an eye on you, feeling a bit nervous about how you're acting. Once the elevator opens again, you two step out hand-in-hand. He leads you to the recording studio they're using, punching in a quick code before allowing you to enter first.
A part of you is relieved at the sight of no one else. You sit down on the couch, tucking a leg under the other. Jisung sits down beside you, slowly reaching for your hand.
“What's going on, baby?” Jisung asks again, and you avoid making any eye contact with him. “Are… you're not breaking up with me, are you?”
Your breath hitches in your throat, and you lift your head up, his dark eyes becoming a little glossy. “I don't want to break up with you,” you say to him, squeezing his hand. “I just– okay, so you know the night we hung out at your place?”
“Yeah, you didn't stay up to text me into the early hours of morning like you normally do,” he mumbles, his fingers playing with yours.
“Two girls stopped me outside the building that night,” you start off, clearing your throat a bit. “And, they asked me if you lived there. I obviously told them that you didn't, but just the thought of sasaengs finding out about us has me a little scared recently.”
Jisung's eyes grow wide, and he takes both of your hands into his. “Baby, why didn't you say something to me? I could've helped you shoulder all of this,” he sighs, bringing your hands to his lips, pressing a gentle kiss on them. “I know going public is scary. A part of me should've realized that bringing you to mine wasn't a smart idea, but I'm part of paboracha for a reason.”
You giggle a little bit before meeting his gaze. “I ran into them again outside,” you whisper to him, biting the inside of your lip. “And, I think that maybe we should take a break from hanging out…”
The small smile on Jisung's lips drops, and he scoots closer to you. “No, I– I don't want to do that. There can be another way for us to see each other and be together in secret,” he mumbles, feeling himself begin to panic.
Jisung leans his forehead on yours, his fingers tightly gripping yours. “Jisung–”
He swiftly captures your lips in a kiss, cutting you off. Your eyes flutter shut, and you pull back a few seconds later. “We shouldn't be doing this,” you whisper to him, gliding your thumb across the back of his hand.
He brings you in for another kiss, making this one more passionate. Your head begins to spin, moving your lips against his. Jisung breaks away, bringing one of his hands to your cheek.
“Tell me to stop then,” Jisung whispers against your mouth.
“That's unfair,” you mumble, chucking slightly.
He takes your face in his hands before gently kissing your forehead. “What's unfair is that you're taking my baby away from me. My baby, who makes me such a happy man,” Jisung tells you softly, his thumbs stroking your cheeks.
Your heart pounds against your chest, feeling yourself fall deeper for him. “Maybe I was wrong about putting distance between us,” you mention, hating the thought of spending less time together.
