Disco Elysium wiki considers Gary's place a part of the Capeside Apartments which really. That apartment complex is such a fascinating microcosm. Every flavor of guy lives there

You've got a commie, a cryptofash, an anarchist squatting in the boiler room, a gay sex worker whose shitty moralist sugar daddy keeps coming around, Cuno's dad who just kinda sucks, and poor Billie Mejean who probably just wants some peace and quiet. The reason why the Capeside Apartments don't have a tenants' union is because all of these people are at war with one another

It really is the most place in Martinaise like. Both Cindy and Steban are drawing on the walls like they’re being paid for it to the point where there’s no way to tell which one of them wrote “a firing squad for the rich” bc it genuinely could have been either/or, but also Steban doesn’t comprehend Cindy’s art. Every day Gary calls them both slurs, and every day they go vandalize his door together (it’s their number one bonding activity) and every day Gary scrubs it off. All of the balconies are covered in a thick smog bc everyone here loves loitering and smoking. Once a week a man who is probably as dizzyingly rich and important as he is staggeringly bland and boring will come here to do raceplay with a twink. Said twink has tried to hit on every man in the building but won't tell anybody what his name is. There’s a cleaning lady who has minded her business since the Antecentennial Revolution. All parties are probably buying drugs from Cuno’s dad even though, again, he sucks. Half of them share a shower where moss grows on the walls and presumably a kitchen, and all of them probably illegally dump their trash in the same place. Sometimes Cuno will be there doing lines in the communal shower and everyone else has to just kind of let him. Half the building is literally crumbling into the ocean. Gary saw Steban move in and then went off to complain to Morrell about the place becoming a Puta Madre holdout. One day some people hang up a dead body across the yard and no one even gives a shit. Amidst all of this, Billie Mejean is just trying to raise her kids and read her novels

I've talked about this before, but Harry's inner dialogues about Dora, besides olfactory memories, are almost always about her body -

I think Harry's grief over her loss [at least post-amnesia] is about the loss of a status symbol, an object of desire that everyone wants but only he had access to. I believe he uses sexuality [even dangerous sexuality] to cope with his numerous struggles, and lost a huge part of that coping mechanism when they broke up.

This can also be inferred in this dialogue with Ruby, when talking about Klaasje:

Electrochemistry says "that kind" - to me, this is an implicit comparison to Dora.

Harry was the first one to completely objectify Dora, and I think it's likely that he spoke about her that way as well, pre-amnesia.

Edit: as a side note, his obession with her body isn't always kept internally, either; you can harass and ask her if she's naked on the payphone, and EC chimes in at some point to reiterate Harry's obsession with her presumed nudity in the same conversation.

Then the whole “I wish I could just give money to people and solve their problems” like… you literally could. You literally could do that
