Azul's dream in book 7 is a pretty perfect example of how shallow and fundamentally flawed Malleus' idea of a "perfect world" for everyone is. And I also just think it's interesting.

I don't think it's necessarily trying to convey that Azul experiencing bullying was "necessary" for him to become better. Because the inherent flaw with this dream is that it doesn't make Azul's peers not bullies; it just makes him someone they wouldn't bully.

He's athletic, captain of the school's sports teams, popular, and something that stood out to me is that during his first appearance in the dream, he's described as being so fast that the commentators couldn't even make him out at first. All of which are things that are NOT true in real life, and are in fact reasons he was bullied.

Azul was overweight as a child, lonely, unpopular and not naturally gifted at anything. And he's described multiple times as being a very slow swimmer, something he was also bullied for.

Malleus' dream solves this by removing these traits. Which, yes, does result in a reality in which Azul never faced any bullying. But it doesn't address the root issue, which was that Azul grew up in an environment in which bullying other children was tolerated in the first place. Even if he doesn't personally experience it, that still affects him, and it shapes him into the bully we see him as in his dream.

Both of the outfits are based on rabbit fest and playful land respectively because i don’t trust myself to make original outfits. Hopefully they gave off doll vibes.

I may look like I just crawled out of a coffin from an abandoned house near the beach on a foggy night, but I assure you I like cute things just as much as anybody else (possibly even more).

My STARS this took so long to make, honestly tho I’d do it again just for the sake of more Nivens merch. Speaking of which, the next Nivens piece I’ll be trying to make will beeeee—

man I’m going crazy with all this, but it’s also helping me with my sewing skills soooo

The amount of times I was stabbed by my needles is actual insanity. Don’t even get me started having to get all these charms and ribbons. First I took an old corset that was busted up from a thrift store and took all its ribbons and lace. Then, I used them, alongside with some fabric glue, and slapped them onto an old creation of mine I had (the fake lucky rabbits foot), which then led to me getting a chain from an old necklace of mine and cutting it down short to fit better. As you can see with the finished product, all I did as the final steps was get some trinkets I already have and smashed them onto the luck rabbits foot. Some beads, buttons, and earrings even were put onto this for it can look the way it is now.

BUT my most favorite part of this charm is the heart locket I put onto it—which will have a photo of Nivens in it (if I gain the right to print out photos of him from pookie ((Nivens creator))). anyways, the oc that I was making merch for belongs to -> @lapincard (and the art you see of Nivens in the banner is his ((lapins)) art as well)
