Oh Christmas Tree (Aizawa x reader)
Part 2/25 of Christmas Oneshots
Characters: Aizawa, gender neutral reader
Warnings: Mentions of exams, besides that just pure fluff
Aizawa slowly made his way home, wanting nothing more than to just get home and climb into bed and sleep through the entire weekend. He knew that wasn’t possible as his lovely partner would force him up but he could dream. This week was particularly tough, it being around the time for exams, which he never quite understood why they were given just mere days before the holidays. He was stressed and tired and he could only imagine the amount of stress his kids were under.
He made his way back to his house, unlocking the door and walking in. He was greeted with colorful lights and the love of his life decorating a tree. He set his stuff down and took off his shoes before walking up to his partner, gently wrapping his arms around them and resting his chin on their shoulder.
“Hey Sho, how was it today?” You turned your head ever so slightly and gave him a small kiss before going back to hanging candy canes upon the tree. He stayed silent, only for a moment, just watching you carefully, a small smile appearing on his face.
“Another stressful day. The kids need more time but I can’t give that to them.” He mumbled as he kept watching you decorate the tree. Unfortunately, he had to lift his chin off you so you could move more freely. You sent him an apologetic look before hanging up a few more things and then disappearing into the kitchen.
Aizawa took this to go and change into more comfortable and cozy clothes. Usually, he would just throw on a shirt and his usual grey or black sweatpants, but he knew what time of year it was and the way your face lit up when he wore the Christmas PJs you had gotten him a few Christmas’ ago made everything worth it.
He walked back out to the living area wearing a Grinch onesie, the hood of it up, slightly covering his face. You still had not returned from the kitchen so he made his way to the couch and laid down. He rested his head on some pillows and closed his eyes, taking a few moments of rest.
“Awe, I didn’t even know you still had that!” He heard your voice and peeked open his eyes to see you beside him. You were holding a tray that had a plate and two mugs. He sat up some and saw there were Christmas cookies on the plate. He smiled and reached over taking one and taking a bite.
“Why would I get rid of it, it was the first present you got me for Christmas after we moved in together.” He said in between eating the cookie.
You grinned, “Awe see I know you are a big softie, even if you try and act all tough outside the house.” You went to sit down, and he was quick to move his legs so you could be beside him. You handed him a cup of a hot liquid. “I made you your favorite, half coffee, and half hot cocoa.” He gave you a small kiss as a thank you before taking the cup and taking a small sip.
You rested your head on his shoulder and stared at the tree, a smile on your face. Aizawa stared at you, in awe of just how he got so lucky to have someone like you.
“It’s so beautiful,” you stated, meaning the tree, but his eyes never left sight of you. Sure you had done a wonderful job on the tree, but the most perfect and beautiful thing was right next to him and he couldn’t be any happier.
