Christianity, a religion of peace and humility, revolves around Jesus Christ and his teaching about living life in ways that are fitting for us; and the individuals around us. He has advised us to have ambitions and the hope for them to come true. We all have our childhood dreams - most of us are trying to figure out how to make them come true, while some are upon completing them. No matter how far away or close we are to our ambitions, all of us have seen nasty challenges along the way. Well, that's pretty much the definition of life. Do we face our challenges, or do we find a way to run away from them? Wonder why He has always instructed us to hope? Wonder why He has always wanted us to pray? It's because He has a plan since before the dawn of time.
Olayinka Akisanya penned the book “The Call” to remind us the fact that all of us are here for a reason and we are all a part of God’s plan. He tests us with giving countless blessings, and He tests us without giving any blessings – those who stay obedient no matter the situation, is the one who will flourish in this life and what comes after. It is stated in James (1:3-4): “Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy. For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything.”
His plan is older than our minds can perceive, it is better than the best our eyes could show us, it is much more comprehensive than any of us, and it is more exceptional than we could ever think. All of us are a part of His All-Mighty plan. Countless of us, and those before us, have tried to figure out what it is and how it comes to an end - no one has come close to figuring it out. But what we do know and trust, is the fact that whatever the plan, it's free of all flaws and imperfections.
The three keys to flourishment
Conviction, Perseverance, and Patience. Submitting and surrendering yourself - body, mind, and soul - in front of the Lord, the Creator is the most vital step toward prevailing. You have to preserve your faith in the All-Mighty, and only then will He be pleased with you, and His happiness could result in a shower of blessings and miracles your way.
He is the greatest of planners and the most gracious and forgiving among rulers. He has authority over anything and everything. It is stated in Psalm (86:5): "You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.” He instructs us to confess our sins in front of Him and repent for redemption and forgiveness. He assures us that he who asks for forgiveness with a heavy heart, is forgiven; doesn’t matter if he’s the wickedest of sinners, or the purest of saints.
