Artist: Dadaroma Lyrics: Yoshiatsu Music: Takashi Note: So... I followed actively Dadaroma for approximately 3 years until they disbanded in 2020. Followed like... going to most of their lives in Tokyo and going to regions to see them. Yeah, actively.

Their disbanding still makes me sad even listening to the songs, but I had translated three of them in the past and they have been collecting dust in a folder since then.

I modify some bit and here you go.

This is a very poetic and ambiguous song, open to interpretation, but a masterpiece if you ask me.

Hi, How are yall?

If you were wondering, I’m still alive, still in Japan, still going to see Plastic Tree and Ryutaro. I have been thinking of doing translation again now that I’m in a better state of mind (and I have a proper sane job), but I wonder if it would truly interest people here. I also have the feeling all the cool kids went to twitter? I could open an account there, but same, I don’t know if people would be interested.

In any case Plastic Tree are still the best :)

Hi people ! Long time no see. As you may have noticed, I haven’t updated in a long time. The reason is that I’m terribly busy as I’m currently looking for a job or I’ll have to move back to Europe.

So I will certainly be away for some weeks, but I’ll come back. Sorry for those who were actually reading this blog. I have some lyrics already translated, so I’ll try to up them at least.

Thank you <3 It's nice to hear their thoughts about a world tour but of course there are so many things to plan and organize that it might be not possible in the near future... atleast I was able to see them during their last world tours in germany and these moments will always be precious to me ^^

Yes, I think it’s quite difficult to plan a world tour and it must cost a lot. Plastic Tree is not as popular as some other bands in western countries so they would have to be sure to make the costs worthy.

I’m glad you had the opportunity to see them in Germany. Even abroad they’re such a generous band, I loved seeing them in France years ago.

I went to Sendai this week-end for the final date of the Nenriki tour and I will (maybe) make a small report of that live because it was beyond amazing.

I just want to tell you this, because it may be of some interests for you all:

During the MC of the encore, Ryutaro announced their date in Taiwan in August (I want to go but I don't know if I will tbh). then he started talking about how they hadn't come to Taiwan in a long time and how much they love it there. Then, Ryutaro mumbled something like "I want to do a world tour again, some time."

He didn't say they were going to !! Just, he wants to.

He said how he wants to go back to Europe because there are places he hasn't gone yet (like the Netherlands).

Then, he said he wouldn't mind going to the USA as well. Tadashi laughed and said "you just wanna go there" (like for tourism he seemed to imply) and Ryutaro laughed. Tadashi seemed to imply it wasn't easy to do a World Tour.

So yeah, if some of you wondered why Plastic Tree hasn't done any World Tour in a long time, it's more because it's difficult to plan one than because they don't want. At least, Ryutaro and Tadashi explicitly said they wanted to go there and it’s not like they needed to say that .

it makes me very happy to hear them say that and I thought I would share with all the foreign Kurage. I know how sad it is not to be able to go to your fav’s lives.

Ryutaro : Neji, solo

Kenken : Utakata (even if he’s not very active atm)

Akira : Date You

Tadashi : Bulb

... or if you prefer that I concentrate on Plastic Tree only (as I’m pretty behind in the translations).

I don’t have thousands of people following this account but I still want to know ahah.

Nenriki tour - 2017/04/09 - Saitama Shintoshin’s Heaven’s Rock

The 9th of April was my second live of the Nenriki tour and this time in Saitama at the Heaven’s Rock Saitama Shintoshin. It’s actually a venue I don’t like very much. Usually, when you go to very small venue, you can see more or less from anywhere, so being in the back is not a problem. But, with the HR, which is longer than larger, being at the back is very annoying : you don’t see well, because the doors are very closed to the back you get annoyed by people passing forth and back, and it gets very crowded very quickly. So I was number 304 and the venue has supposedly a capacity of 350 … not good at all. ahah.

So I got into the venue and I ended up at the very back, close to the door… and I was thankful I had the idea of wearing platforms, because at least i could see a little. But as always with HR, the venue got completely full while people were still outside waiting to get in, so we had to all get crowded to the front. Some people took advantage of it and rushed to the first lines making waves in the audience. But anyway, without myself trying to rush or anything, I ended up in somewhere the 6th or 7th line in front of the stage by Tadashi’s side, and more or less in the middle of the venue. (I hate Heaven’s Rock). But well, I could see pretty well so that was an improvement. On the other hand, we were all stuck to each other and it wasn’t very comfortable.

The live in itself was amazing. What more can I say ? The band is such a joy in live. This time I was in front of Tadashi, who started the first songs looking at the fans, seeming a bit shy but ended up smiling. He’s seriously so sweet. He’s always trying to interact with fans, when they try to get his attention, he’d smile or laugh at them. He’ll make them shout more or jump or anything. When, he doesn’t interact with fans, it’s because he goes to the back of the stage to play facing Kenken or because he’s so into his music that he starts turning, headbanging, just having his fun.

Akira seemed more quiet than during the live in Yokohama, but I could see him smile from time to time, and he was as always checking that the sound was alright and everything in check. He was a bit far from me so I couldn’t see him very well but he did seem to have a good time.

Kenken in the back was his usual Kenken, almost bouncing on his chair while hitting the drum and laughing at the jokes the other members said, thinking nobody really notice him..

Ryutaro was his usual. A bit serious in the beginning and then getting more and more excited as the show went on. At the end, he would jump everywhere, went to Akira’s side to annoy him, made fun of Kenken during the MC or hid behind Tadashi. He growled several time during the live, which I always adore. He seemed really into the live.

They distribute at all venues “pen light” that we can use during the song Nenriki. There are two modes, one where the light is always on, one where it blinks. For the other lives, they asked the public what mode they wanted to use. This time, they cut the audience in two parts, and one was to use the first mode, the other the second, and then we had to change for the second chorus.

About the MC, they talked as always quite a lot. Ryutaro said he lived for a year in Saitama a very long time ago and he didn’t remember much but he owned a frog for some time that he had called “Bridgestone” (If I got it right). Tadashi talked about how he started reading a manga about Saitama and how there is apparently a certain rivaltry between Saitama and Chiba. Ryutaro seemed surprised and unaware. Before the first encore, Kenken came back on his own and started talking about I’m not really sure what. The mic was very high for him (which was cute) and he always talks a bit like “And then … and well… you knoooow… right, well, you seeee” which make him hard to follow.

In short, it was a very fun live. I was at Tadashi’s side and he always throws picks at the audience. I saw one go near me but couldn’t catch it. Finally at the very end, he threw one in my direction which fall at my feet and I just had to get it from the floor, ahaha… so that’s my second pick from him and I’m pretty happy about it.
