leafpools death was incredibly early and sudden, and came right on the tail of a LOT of family drama and shit. They hadn't entirely forgiven her yet, and its ok for them to be upset??????? Very tired of 'leafpool did nothing wrong' turning into 'the three have no right to be upset', thats not the same thing. Brambles death was slow and drawn out, dying for days and days with every cat trying desperately to save him. He raised them as his kids, and continued seeing them as his kids for literal years. Bramblestars death happened years and years and YEARS after leafpools, after years and years of fatherly bond. It makes SENSE, because they unfortunately had time to think about it. being upset your mate or father died isnt unreasonable, despite how much You, Personally, Do Not Like Him. You are not Jayfeather. He loved his father, and thats ok.

just. generally tired of the defense of characters turning into "if anyone is upset about it they are evil and stupid and wrong." Squirrelflight did nothing wrong taking the kids. Leafpool did nothing wrong HAVING kids. It is also reasonable, expected, and OKAY, for the cats who have been lied to their entire lives to be a BIT UPSET. It is okay, in theory, for bramble to be upset about being lied to. The problem is how he takes it out on squirrelflight, not "how dare he be upset at his wife lying to him." THAT PARTS NOT THE PROBLEM.
