Something For Everyone

My most ambitious paint-over yet. Wasn’t liking how it was turning out in my sketchbook, so decided to try digitally painting it in IbisPaintX. Still a few rough areas, but does look better overall.

Really like how I shaded the clothing folds. Also, the title is “Belle Époque”

Reds, purples, and pinks seem to be my go-to colors when I want to do a palette-based illustration.

Her head cover looked bare, so I decided to add a pattern to it. In IbisPaintX, because I don’t trust my hand to be steady enough not to mess up drawing a pattern. Along with some minor clean up.

First time using Ibis for that function, and I like how it turned out.

Played around with Afterlight and this what the result was. I love the 3D effect.

Can I just say how much I just love this drawing  not even exaggerating- I really do love it, ‘specially those boots I really wish I had those in real life T~T The pants and skirt came out so perfectly I could cry(but I won’t..Because I’m a real woman jk) I tried to work with different color schemes like analogous and tertiary colors as well as complementary. Hm, maybe all those art classes in High School weren’t a waste after all X3 I feel like I’m one of the only females who can’t shade clothing over boobs- I just.. can’t get it .. :/ I am also working on shading with a light source and think I did an Ok job.
