Every survivor has their own story. In just the time you blink your eyes the world ends. It comes in the form of your friends, your family, that old elderly couple down the street, all shambling corpses with insatiable appetites and a penchant for human flesh. Some say itās the wrath of God smiting them all for their sins, some say itās just bad goddamn luck, while others just say this is Earth returning to its natural state: chaos.
Whatever the reason may be, thereās one thing every remaining person can agree on and itās that though the world may look bleak the desire to beat the odds remains. Complete strangers are your only hope, but each and every single one you come across has made it this far for a reason. You all bring something to the table, and together you will survive. Hello, everyone! Itās been brought to our attention that our ads links are broken and we are in the midst of getting that fixed. The main has been quiet but that doesnāt mean the mods arenāt around. We are very eager to get this show on the road, but we are still waiting for a few more apps for a couple of our skeletons. Please, if you have any questions about the world, lore, or any of the skeletons we have available donāt hesitate to send us an ask. We love getting them, and we love answering them. Whatever to make applying a less stressful and complicated experience.
Have a great morning/day/evening! We look forward to any and all new applications.
Yes, it is! We are still eagerly awaiting more apps as we are not comfortable opening the roleplay with such a small group. I hope you understand, and trust me, we are just as impatient to get it started. Iām excited for anyone else to come in and apply for all of our other skeletons, and I look forward to any future apps or questions!
Really cool rp! I really want to app but I don't want to wait on forever for the rp to open, so at least any idea of how many apps you'd need to set up a deadline?
Thank you. Itās really nice to hear that. We would love to get an application from you. We currently have had two ask similar to this one which I am going to link here and here.
We know waiting to get accepted can be a pain and the worst part about applying to an rp, or at least it is in my mind. At time time we currently only have apps for 3 of our 10 open skeleton. All of us mod, and we hope you agree, just feel like that isnāt enough to open the roleplay with. We want just as much as you to get started with roleplaying here but we also want the group to be filled enough to help make this roleplay as long lasting as possible.
We hope that you are understanding to this and realize we make all these choice in hopes of just having a long lasted and fun group here. We still hope that you will consider applying to us.
Good evening anon. We actually just answered an ask just like this! I know waiting is hard, but the second we have an answer yāall will know it as well. We do not have an exact date for when we will be doing acceptances. It on depends on the quality of applications and how quickly they are submitted.
Ā At this point in time we do not feel comfortable accepting or opening with the current number of applications. Thank you so much for your patience!
Hey. I am working on my application and I wanted to know if on the wanted connections I could make my character have a significant other? They have one in their backstory but I didn't know if it was okay to say they were with them at the start of the roleplay?
Hello, anon! That is a wonderful question, but my answer is mixed. As a team we discussed the answer we would give, and it's yes and no? The whole thing about connections pre-outbreak means they would have to be filled through one of the skeletons we have as the roleplay focuses on the unlucky 13. In the first go around the character count was capped it at 13, and it is the same for this time around. We are not against you using the talk tag to plot with someone to app alongside you, though. We just ask you include the mods in your ideas for it so there won't be any discernible flaws in your application. Due to plots we have planned in the future, however, NPCs are not doable, but if you want a future romance plot to build you are more than welcome to put that in as a future connection. Another option I can provide is that you can leave that as an open connection for someone to apply for after our initial acceptances if we have any skeletons left over, but once the characters leave the exclusion zone it is down to the Unlucky 13 so that connection would have been lost or left behind, per se. Which that makes for nice angsty plot anyhow, hehe. I hope this all makes sense, and if you have any further questions do let us know.
You can most certainly apply for more then role. Just know you will only be accepted for one and if you do have a preference to which is your favorite please state that on the application.
Can you explain the tactical planning aspect of the gamer a little bit more please?
Of course!
Alpha is one of my favorite skeletons so if you have any questions about them at all please send them in. I maybe almost took alpha for myself. The Gamer is born and bred out of the newer generation! Due to their hobby (or career, if you choose to go that way with the skeleton) they have poured a countless amount of hours into gaming. Depending on what kind of gaming you take that as (console, pc, tabletop, action/adventure, rpg, sci fi etc) every genre comes with itās own basis of knowledge, strategy, and mastery.
For instance, if you chose to give the gamer a healthy obsession with zombie video games as well as their zombie culture knowledge, you could say they have unorthodox training in survival, knowledge of safe zones, killing and trapping zeds, etc. This is its own kind of skill set. If your gamer is more of a tabletop kind of gamer, perhaps their knowledge is in adapting and understanding to their surroundings, perception, and knowledge of combat maneuver i.e. planning how to fight and coordinate these efforts due to extensive turn based knowledge. If they are a professional gamer, perhaps its quick reflexes and instinctive training to react. If they professionally create games, perhaps its the skill set to use terrain and obstacles in ways that most people do not see due to your background in world building and imagination.
Really, the tactical planning skill is what you make of it, as long as it functions as a level of knowledge in some aspect (combat, protection, reflexes perception, barricades, etc). I hope this helped clear up the skill!
Would it matter if our character traveled from far away to Phoenix?
Characters can be from wherever youād like, including places outside of the US! But for the sake of realism, characters should be somewhere in the Greater Phoenix area on Zed Day. Within the first twelve hours to twenty four hours, most major highways, interstates and state roads are going to be severely backed up. This is in part to the general panic, but also the heightened activity for a holiday weekend. It can be your characterās first day in Arizona (maybe they were stuck at the airport trying to return home on a layover) but they should be in the Phoenix area November 25th.
Zed Day is Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, so you can use your imagination and backstory as to why your character is in the area! If youāre having trouble placing your character in Phoenix, let us know!
Do you mind ridiculously long apps? Sorry I got inspired. :C
While the focus is on quality over quantity, by no means are we going to deny you for an application that is lengthy. I personally love depth, and as long as it useless rambling I do not see the problem in getting into detail. Just keep in mind that you touch important information in the skeleton and focus on the drawbacks, etc. Take a look at this answered ask here for an idea on what to focus on. We look forward to your application, anon! If you have any other questions let us know.
Hey guys! Now that you're getting apps do you have any ideas for when the rp's gonna open?
Hello, anon! The mods here at Zedheads HQ donāt have a set date for acceptances/opening day, and we donāt plan to have one set in stone immediately. We would rather gauge that based on the interest we receive, and when we are comfortable with the amount of apps we received we will post a notice.
I think this is the hardest question that we ever get as mods. All of our roles are meant to have such dynamic skills that they are all needed in the group. We tried to make each skeleton as important as the others so, like all mods in all rps, we would really like to have ever single role filled.
But of course we do each have our favorites who we would have to say were our most wanted, these skills are also going to be added to the most wanted section on our masterlist in a few seconds after this ask is answered.
Liss would have to say she has an extra soft spot for Delta, Kilo, and Lima.
Xan would like to see Alpha, Echo, and Kilo.
Al would say his most wanted are Alpha, Delta, and Kilo.

⢠Character Backstory (At least three paragraphs, we ask that you include important life events, important childhood points, life before the outbreak, life after the outbreak, how they wound up in the current area.)
Aside from charm and guile, Emerson didnāt get much from her mother. Her looks and temperament ran sharply to her father, and, while she managed some of her motherās enthusiasm and ceaseless curiosity, she got very little of dadās responsible nature and caution. Those two traits were hoarded by the children from her fatherās first wife, and they monopolized most of her fatherās attention, as well. Emerson, born in Boston, Massachusetts, was ten years younger than the oldest brother, and seven years younger than the middle one, so by the time Emerson was in middle school and thoroughly ensnared in adolescent rebellion, one was finishing up college while the other was trying to make a living off of an hourly retail job.
Her childhood friends were terrified of her mother, but Emerson never understood their fear. She was not, sheāll grant, a kind woman, but she was patient, and thoughtful, and imminently fair. If she sometimes said hurtful things, it was the truth of them that stung, not any malice on her part. Unlike her brothers, and even sometimes her father, her mother was never cruel. She trusted her mother above anyone else, and if you asked Emā, family didnāt extend beyond the two of them. An irrational fifteen year old Emerson believed that thought alone jinxed her parents into a divorce that had her and mom packing and moving back home to Arizona where her grandparents were.
Emerson didnāt want to leave Boston, but she had no choice. Her half brothers werenāt kind, especially the middle one who insisted Emās mother was a whore, and her father was a rough and loud man. She wouldnāt fight to stay with that part of her family if it meant an unstable living situation so reluctantly she accepted Tucson as her new home. Her grandparentās mobile home was tiny and cramped, and Em didnāt adjust well. She never wanted to be home, but she wasnāt going to let her distaste of Tucson hold her back from experiencing her youth.
As a result of Emersonās rebellions worsened into high school and were loud and wild and seemed, in general, like insanely good fun. She positioned herself on the precise edge of too much, paid restitution with her fatherās money that he sent to Arizona for her and did community service in impractical shoes. And, sometimes, the people she partied with got hurt, but it was never intentional, never the point of what she did. Sheād even ended up with fines and stuck on probation after a night vandalizing a house in construction.
She always bounced back from repercussions and was right back at it- she never planned on bending to the rules. She preferred living life by her own codes and did as she pleased, like an East coast whirlwind trying to take over the South West desert. She dropped out of school, drank too much and drove way too fast, and my God were street races on the desert landscape the most fun sheād ever had. First it started with her in the passengerās seat, but eventually, with enough convincing and batting of her eye lashes, boyfriend A,B, or C (wherever she was down her list of prospective relationships), she had her go on the driverās side.
Emerson became the queen of odd jobs and quick easy cash. Yes, this meant she ended up working in the serving industry, but that was simply her steady source of income. She wasnāt making money illegally, per se, but Emā was great at snatching up any and all opportunities no matter how unethical. Need not worry, there werenāt drugs involved. She had a rebellious streak in her, but by no means did that mean she would ever partake, let alone sell. Needed a house maid for the day? Someone to clean your car or pick up your groceries or to babysit? She was the girl to call.
The consistency in which she received these jobs slowly declined as her reputation as a wild hearted teenager became more well known. This did not deter her for wherever there was opportunity, Em was there. And this worked well for her up until her love of street racing landed her behind bars.
To be arrested was never a part of Emersonās life plan, but it happened. Police showed up after being tipped off to an area where they often raced their cars. Em happened to be behind the wheel when they arrived rather than on the sidelines and the consequence to that was jail time. It was quite the unexpected turn for the worse, but like always Emerson stood up tall and faced the adversity with dignity. She also took advantage to learn while she was locked up, and knowledge on how to make various weapons and other tools to protect oneself became her focus. It was good to know, after all, in the event she faced someone more violent who either simply didnāt like her or was pissed off by something sheād done and said
When the day of her release came, Emerson felt like she was handed another chance with a blank slate at life. She didnāt become more careful or rule abiding, but she tried to be smarter about her decisions. This did not mean she stayed out of the driverās seat of a car in the drag races for long, but she frequented the races much less. Her mother, however, did not take her back as cheerily as Emerson had hoped. That led to her landing another handful of quick cash jobs to save and get herself a shitty one bedroom apartment to move into. It was small, dingy and definitely in a shady part of town, but it was all hers, and that was what mattered. She lived fine there on her own, and everything felt like it would be okay.
To be foolishly blunt, she were naive and desensitized. She lived through fist fights and rough older brothers and even being put behind bars. So, for the first few days, she paid little attention to the word of outbreaks. She was in the rural part of the already rural Arizona, and that served to keep her blind to what was really happening. In fact, her eyes were only opened when her older step-brother called two days in and stated that her father was dead. She found it odd to hear from him, and she was saddened a bit to hear of the loss, but she was also suddenly taking the outbreak news more seriously.
It was all over the news, but Phoenix was being secured as an exclusion zone. As each day ticked by, the death tolls loomed higher. Social order broke apart rapidly. People in her complex began accusing one another of being infected. When it finally escalated to cold blooded murder, she decided it was time to leave. Em hit the road in her neighbors car and drove faster than she ever had to get to Phoenix where she found safety.
⢠Character Personality:
Unrestrained. That is perhaps the best summary of Emerson. Once sheās set her mind to something that she wants nothing can stop her. She will do whatever it takes to achieve her goal, no matter the cost to herself or others. That being said, whatever does in fact mean whatever. There are few codes she wonāt break to accomplish his goals with the only limitation that she wonāt actually kill you. Along with that, Em is also pretty self-interested. She doesnāt believe in handouts and, while she can be very helpful, sheāll only ever help out if thereās something in the deal for her to benefit from. There isnāt a job she will do without some form of reciprocation, and she is clever about the work she finds and the compensation she obtains.
When it comes to interpersonal relations, Em isnāt the most proficient- she doesnāt have a wide range of emotion ā er, well she does, she just hides it ā and itās rare for her to offer more than her smirks and subtle expressions of contentment. While Em doesnāt necessarily bottle up her emotions, she often doesnāt display them, only because the desire to do so seldom arises, and she prefers to keep others thinking that she is just fine.
She remains at least somewhat guarded around people sheās even close to, which she can count that number of people on one hand. It isnāt about putting on a tough girl facade, but rather, just keeping herself protected. She will still associate with people and build relationships as aloofness isnāt her thing, but donāt expect it to be a walk in the park earning her friendship. Emerson likes to talk, and sheās very good at it, so beware if you are trying to get close to her: she might make you feel like you are when in all actuality you know less about her than what you did going in.
Emerson has a tendency to be a little bit spiteful, and likes to stir shit up just because she can. Itās not in her nature to fight without cause and to attack without being attacked first, but this does not mean she will deflect conflict as her temper is set off as easily as a flash fire in the dry Savannah brush. Be wary if you provoke any icy responses because soon enough, her fist might be forcing your teeth down your throat.
OTHER:
⢠How did your character in the exclusion zone?: At first she was skeptical, but as the news became more apparent she drove from Tucson to Phoenix. She quickly made her way to safety when the opportunity made itself known.
⢠What is your characters current gear that they have on them? Compass, switchblade pocket knife, lighter, condoms, hair ties, tooth brush with half a tube of tooth paste, work boots, bobby pins, glasses, her last few pairs of contacts and contact cleaning solution (this is only while her supplies last), her back pack
⢠Please name at least two character connections:
⢠Lima - Negative - Emerson will always think negatively of law enforcement workers. Itās just how it is. She feels nervous around them, and very stifled as she knows she has to act to a certain level of āmodel citizenā to deter suspicion.
⢠Juliet - Positive - Emerson likes their resourcefulness. Everything they know and offer is very hands on, far more useful in the apocalyptic situation than anything that requires books and numbers. She sees the potential to learn useful skills from them.
⢠India - Neutral - Although someone who isnāt a fighter, Emerson does believe India holds a lot of potential to be a great survivor. They also offer important knowledge of the city, and their scouting abilities are a necessity for the group to survive.
⢠Golf - Negative - She sees Golf as pretty useless. Documentation and problem solving can be usual in a normal modern world scenario, in Emās opinion, but there they lack what she considers important survival traits.
⢠Please list at least three headcanons:
⢠Emerson goes by Em, but she never minds her full name. In fact she prefers it by those who arenāt close to her. A childhood nickname of hers was Emac, but itās long since died after high school years.
⢠Em was the kid who did whatever to decorate her body. She still has one piercing (her septum) and a few tattoos litter her body.
⢠Emersonās vision is 20/40 at best. When she uses up the last of her contacts she is going to need to rely on her glasses, as much as she doesnāt like to wear them. Theyāre a simplistic pair with a librarian feel to them, and she canāt stand it.
⢠Her parents and friends called Em an adrenaline junkie growing up, and rightfully so. She will do whatever for a rush even at risk of others around her. She does not care how dangerous a situation may be, she will still attempt it.

⢠Character Backstory:
Mateo grew up in Arizona as a happy go lucky child with a large smile. His parents often received compliments on his temperament when they went out to the store or to restaurants. Mateo was never fussy and always seemed so curious about the world around him. His entire childhood, Mateo wanted a baby brother or sister. At the time his parents couldnāt explain that it wasnāt physically possible for them to have another child. Instead they supplemented it with cousin, nephews, and all sorts of family. Mateo may have grown up without any other biological siblings, but his house was always full of a loud and supporting family. Their dining room table that was supposed to seat six was always had stools and overturned boxes pulled up to it.
School was more of a place to socialize and be around people than preparation for life. College and technical school were never in the cards for him. Dante, his father, was a self made man who started a construction company that did work all over the area. Matt took trips with his family to California, Washington, New Mexico and even Texas. They did large scale installations for shopping malls, business centers, and high scale residential areas. Mateoās mother Maria was a professional interior decorated, and they often took jobs together. Matt grew up watching the loving, devoted relationship between his parents and knew he wanted a family.
Meeting Suzanne felt like fate. She was the middle child of five and they sat next to each other in alphabetical seating. They met when Suzanneās family moved to Arizona when Mateo was in sixth grade. Matt felt for her smile almost instantly, and the rest was history. They dated through middle and high school and had three years of prom pictures to prove it. Matt watched his other friends string along girls and make light of relationships but he only had eyes for Suzy and no one else. They were voted most likely to stay together forever when Matt graduated from high school with a solid B average and a job offer from his father. He had to start from the bottom just like Dante did, hauling rebar and shoveling rubble back into the trucks. All of his training was on the job so he didnāt need school, and Suzanne went to the University of Phoenix so she was only a thirty minute drive away.
When Matt was just twenty years old, Suzanne found out she was pregnant. He was over the moon to start a family. Twins were a big surprise, but a welcome one in his eyes. Mateoās father offered him a promotion he graciously accepted. Although he had only been with the company full time for two years, Matt had been working every summer on demolition crew since he was fourteen; most of the Phoenix area crews knew him and respected him. The foreman job was earned and not given to him out of nepotism and it showed. The twins, Sofia and Gabriella, were born in the summer time. Mateo had a picture perfect life by all accounts, and he was happy and content. Everything was turning out the way it was supposed to.
Of course, that kind of perfection is never permanent. When the twins turned five, Mateo found his wife slipping away from him. Suzanne had grown distant and bored of their relationship, and Matt found himself desperate to stay connected with his extended family. He threw himself into family dinner, lunch dates, babysitting for free, and bulk grocery shopping. That bond took the form with Derrick, Suzanneās older brother. Matt fell, and he fell hard, for his wifeās straight brother. Nothing came out of it, of course, but even Suzanne could tell there wasnāt any passion left in their relationship. They were friendly, and never fought in front of the girls. In fact, they didnāt fight at all an that was one of the biggest problems. There was nothing Matt could do to fill the widening gap between them.
So when a teaching job at Notre Dame came up, Suzanne took it. The custody battle was nowhere near as nasty as it could have been, and Matt had custody for seventy-five percent of the year. They alternated Spring Break, Thanksgiving and Winter breaks. The entire situation devastated Mateo. His picture perfect family was broken and torn with no way to repair it. He had been married to Suzy for only seven years, but they had started dating when he was thirteen years old. His newfound attraction for men was also not so newfound, but hard to cope with. Mateo went through a string of drunken one-night stands until he woke up in a strangers apartment with no recollection of the evening.
His walk home was one of shame but also one of clarity. Keeping custody of his daughters was the most important thing to him, the last bit of his family he could cling to. The house was already paid off due to some smart investments and some help from his family, so Matt continued to live there despite how empty it felt without his ex-wife. His family supported him, piling the house full of laughter and food and positive energy. Mateo was heartbroken, though, more so over the loss of his dream than the loss of his wife.
So he became the ultimate dad, learning how to french braid Sofiaās hair and sew when Gabrielle ripped through a shoulder of her shirt roughhousing too hard. Matt taught himself how to cook for three, something Suzy had always done, and the food usually turned out edible and flavorful. He went to every PTA and Girl Scout meeting there was, cheered the loudest at gymnastic meets and track practices, made homemade posters complete with glitter glue to the One Direction concert they went to, and even once painted his chest to a football game the girls wanted to go to.
Matt was shameless in his unconditional support and love for his girls and it showed through his actions. He dated, here and there, and work and family always kept him too busy for anything serious. On his first major construction project, the girls were there with him, cutting the ribbon to the build site. There were no secrets he kept from the girls, save for his own sexuality and dating life. When the girls got older, that was a different conversation to be had.
And thatās how life was, right up into Zed Day. Suzy had the girls for Thanksgiving weekend, which meant Mateo was supposed to pick them up from the airport and got to keep them through Christmas break. Except Thanksgiving came and went, and Black Friday took a whole different meaning. Mateo was on a job site when the government stormed in, demanding the land through some official looking paperwork for an āexclusionary zoneā. Mateo and Dante had to comply, of course. When the National guard was waving a M16 in your face it didnāt feel like much of a choice.
⢠Character Personality:
Mateo is that guy who always has a smile on his face. Heās a family man through and through and attaches easily to people and always wants to give them the benefit of the doubt. This is good and bad depending in the situation and can lead to him getting taken advantage of when he isnāt careful enough. Mateoās mother always said there were two types of people in the world: givers and takers. Mateo is a giver, through and through. He loves to take care of people and finds comfort in comforting others. His family has always been his first priority, and taking care of his daughters was his entire life before Zed Day. Now that theyāre halfway across the country and Matt cannot make contact with them, he feels like someoneās pulled the rug out from under him.
Mateo can be too idealistic at times. He is a true nurturer and likes to give every part of himself even when it isnāt necessary. Sometimes he can put people too high up on pedestals, like his ex-wife, which can be too much pressure on them. Matt loves people so strongly it can be a detriment to his relationships with those around him. There is a small voice in the back of Mateoās head that blames himself for not having his daughters. If he had only tried harder, gave his marriage and wife more attention, maybe they could have been together for Zed Day. Itās the small what-ifs - are they alive? are they okay? why canāt he just call them damnit? - that keep Matt up at night, fidgeting and restless. In the absence of his two daughters, the two things heās dedicated his life to, Matt will struggle to fill that gap by taking care of other people to a fault. If he canāt save his girls, heās going to make damn sure he saves everyone else. Even if it costs him his life.
OTHER:
⢠How did your character in the exclusion zone?:
Mattās was the foreman on site for the construction zone that the Government took over for an exclusion zone. Mateo can say he was one of the first citizens inside of the zone.
⢠What is your characters current gear that they have on them? (this can be weapons, ammo, food, clothing, personal items, etc. Please make this reasonable with what your character can carry and find in a state of emergency.)
Despite his numerous promotions, Mateo still dresses sensibly on any job site. He was in a pair of steel toed boots, heavy duty work pants, a button down shirt, an orange vest and a yellow hard hat. Matt was able to grab his tool belt, which makes too much noise when trying to be stealthy, that was equipped with his normal, every day work tools. He also has a multi-tool that was some competitor of a Swiss army knife that he forgot the name of. In his truck was also some basic camping supplies, including basic nonperishables, water tabs for purification, a couple of small, fold-able cookware, and two sleeping bags, big enough for a single adult or two children. In addition to the tools on his tool belt Matt has a heavy one and a half hand grip hammer that is smaller than a sledge hammer but bigger than the standard size one he has on his belt. Mateo also has his wallet, which has multiple pictures on it, and his necklace the girls bought for him on his thirtieth birthday.
⢠Please name at least two character connections: (These are one-sided connections at this time. This is the place to list if youād like a sibling, ex-lover, current lover, friend, enemy, etc. You can make open-ended connections as well that are not filled currently or one-sided connections. See if the wanted connections page for any questions. The more connected the group, the better the roleplay experience can be, so donāt be shy!)
⢠Delta - Suspicious. For Matt to feel distrustful of someone is almost unheard. Thereās something about Delta that is just too good to be true and Matt canāt put his finger on it. If thereās one person he distrusts most in the group right now, itās Delta. Hopefully - Matt hopes at least - theyāll prove him wrong.
⢠India - Respect. Between his knowledge of construction and their knowledge of the area, Matt knows if something bad happens he wants to stay close to them. If anyone knows a safe way out of Phoenix, itās India. Thatās an important skill to have. It helps that they vaguely remind Matt of Gaby, too.
⢠Future Connection - Mateo (cis male, 34) is looking for a casual FWBs. The zombie apocalypse is stressful and lord knows that Matt needs a distraction. Any skeleton, any gender, character age 24+ who would be willing to approach Matt first. Heās a little old-fashioned when it comes to relationships but isnāt looking for anything serious. He may bring you flowers if he find some. Warning.
⢠Open Connection - Mateo (cis male, 34) did not have any biological siblings, but had a huge family support system. If anyone wants a loose familial connection this is open! Any skeleton, any gender, character age differs depending on roles. Mateoās faceclaim is of Spanish descent for any ethnicity matching.
⢠Please list at least three headcanons:
⢠Mateo has a gorgeous intricate tattoo over the left side of his chest. Itās a very detailed picture of a heart with his daughters names running through the patterns. Matt made sure to get it with bright colors, blues and reds and pinks. It took around eight hours to complete due to the intricacies of it all.
⢠Mateo writes letters to his daughter whenever he has a spare minute. He keeps them in an old, waterproof binder clipboard he used to carry for work as well as tiny, silly momentos his girls made for him growing up.
⢠In Mattās wallet are multiple pictures. He had to buy an extra insert just to hold them all. Some of his favorites are: his graduation day picture with Suzy and his entire family, Matt holding the twins for the first time, Sofia and Gabriellaās first day of preschool, a Disney world selfie with Matt and the twins, all in personalized Mickey and Minnie ears, and a couple more. In the longer part of his wallet is a photo strip of five pictures from Chuck E. Cheese that Mattās held onto as well.
⢠Mateo identifies as bisexual. Heās very careful to keep his romantic (or other) relationships away from the girls. Mattās very private when it comes to sex, but he isnāt a prude or innocent. Whatās done is the bedroom is no oneās business but his own.
⢠Matt is really missing his cup of coffee. On morning where it was hard to roll out of bed at 0430, he really loved having that little kick. Heās an early riser and rarely sleeps past day break.
⢠When it comes to alcohol Mateo is - embarrassingly- a light weight. After a beer he has a solid buzz and a big sloppy smile on his face. Matt was never much of a drinker, unless he was hanging out with friends socially.

What are you looking for when we write our apps! If you don't mind me asking at all
This is a great question anon! Weāll be posting sample applications tonight so yāall can see what exactly weāve put for an application.
As far as what we look for, Iāll detail that a little bit below so you can see how we look at applications:
⢠Diversity!!! We love seeing diverse characters, whether it be age, ethnicity, religion, body, sexual/romantic orientation, gender identity, etc. No one is perfect (especially during a zombie apocalypse) and the more human a character is, the better. Which leans me to number two:⢠Please pay close attention to character flaws. These are the four biggest obstacles your character has on a day to day basis. This section is not just for negative personality traits! Itās also for physical, mental, and any other limitations your character has! Some of these may be personality traits, butĀ āstubbornā isnāt a major drawback. Itās safe to say a lot of people are stubborn. ⢠Character flaws and skills needs to be detailed in the bio and/or personality section. That means more than an offhanded mention of it. Skills are the four biggest things your character brings to the table, and drawbacks are their four biggest limitations. They shouldnāt be your entire biography, but they should be incorporated in the writing!⢠Never be afraid to ask questions. If you want faceclaim help, ask. If you have a question about the world, ask. If youāre unsure about anything, just ask. We prefer off of anon, but our anon is on for a reason.
