I have to admit, I felt frustrated with Marinette here. I completely understand that she’s overwhelmed, drowning in anxiety, and under immense stress, but, girl, please at least let Adrien order his own food instead of deciding for both of you without even asking 😭 It feels like such a small moment, but it kind of reflects a larger issue in their relationship.

For them to truly have a healthy dynamic, Marinette really needs to take a hard look at herself (or seek some professional guidance) and recognize that her need to control everything is doing more harm than good— to herself, to Adrien, to those around her. She can’t seem to let go of the reins, even in minor situations, because she’s terrified of things spiraling out of control. And it’s not just the ordering; it’s leaving him behind, running off before their food even arrives (and she leaves him alone more than once in this episode).

Of course, I know she’s only 14/15, carrying burdens that no one, let alone a grown adult could carry or should ever have to face. She’s under so much pressure, and I can’t help but feel for her. But at the same time, it’s hard not to feel sad and frustrated watching her unintentionally hurt the people she cares about.
