Dua for the Third Day of Ramadhan
O Allah keep me alive, in this month, in a state of alertness and watchfulness; and keep me away from impudence and cynicism, let me share everything good there is in this months, which is in plenty, O the Liberal Most Beneficent.
Duas from previous days
Dua for the First Day of Ramadhan O Allah be pleased with my fasts, in this month, as Thou gives credit to those who (sincerely) observe fasts; and (be pleased with) my special night prayers, in this month, as Thou give credit to those who pray (sincerely) in the night; direct me to be on guard and pay attention to free myself from the lethargy of forgetfulness; O the God of the worlds overlook my wrongdoings, and grant amnesty to me, O He who shows sympathy to the wrongdoers

Shaytan works by exploiting our own weaknesses and attachments. If we have trouble with tawakul (reliance on God), he will exploit our lack of firm footing, to make us constantly hesitant and afraid of the unknown. He will bombard us with irrational fears. He uses our chains against us. But we create those chains, thru our need for control. The greatest shield against shaytan is tawakul. It gives him nothing to chain us with. Tawakul frees us from ourselves and the bondage of fear. The bondage of shaytan.

“The more that we worry about how our decisions will be received by men, the thicker the veil becomes with regard to God and His guidance.”

Alhamdulillah
(via islamicrays)
There is a very deep difference between healthy remorse and shame. One is a motivator in the path to God, the other is a barrier to God and a tool of Shaytan. How do you know the difference? If your ‘guilt’ motivates you to get closer to Allah, it’s from Allah and it’s healthy. If your 'guilt’ makes you feel so bad about about yourself that you give up or stop trying, it’s not from Allah! It’s from Shaytan. Don’t be fooled. Self-hatred isn’t divine. It’s satanic. Learn to have enough self compassion to accept your humanness. Learn to put your hope in Allah–not in your deeds. And learn to acknowledge your faults, but never let them define or consume you. Learn to get back up when you stumble because stumbling is part of the Divine plan…to take us all back to Him.
Yasmin Mogahed (via islamicrays)
Showing vulnerability isn’t a weakness. It’s a strength. Keep the heart soft. Be unafraid of the creation. Be real with Allah, yourself, and others. And give. Give out of compassion, knowing that we’re all vulnerable. We’re all struggling. We’re all poor. And only He is rich. There’s so much beauty in that poverty. See the beauty in your poverty, because Your Provider is rich. Your Protector is strong. There’s pain in this world. But there’s also so much beauty. Let the pain prepare you for the beauty.
