That was reassuring. He opened his eyes and tried to stand up a little straighter. He didnât fully believe their intentions were good, after all, he had no idea who any of these people are. But they didnât immediately try to kill him, and that was already an improvement over every other person heâs ever met. More than anything, he was immediately interested in his saviors.Â
âThank you for your assistance.â He said.
There was a long pause as he looked at the two before him. They were unlike anything heâd ever encountered in Nowhere. Sure, heâs met dozens of robots, but none to the scale of Canti. Heâs met even more assassins, but⊠heâs never met a green one, thatâs for certain. Looking at the situation objectively he could tell he was most definitely an outsider, the two appeared to be travelling together for a reason. Something was going on here, and he wasnât privy to it. If he was going to find anything outâwhy he was here, where they were going, who they wereâhe had to play his cards right.Â
âI should be restored to my minimum operational capacity within the next hour,â Atom continued. âI hate to bother you both further, but it appears Iâve been nonoperational for quite a while. The last thing I remember was trying to find my way back to the pit. Did something happen?â

He was relieved that Gamora was willing to help. He knew she was serious when she had told him that should this stranger try anything funny she would kill him on the spot prior to them helping Atom. So to see Gamora not use her speed and strength to snuff out Atomâs life was relieving, so much that it one was able to hear it in the form of random blips and beeps escaping Canitâs chassis.Â
Canti moved away from Atom, positioning himself upright and keeping screen-eye contact with him before changing his screen to the past recording of the incident at The Hole that day. The recording shows that strange woman rising from The Hole, followed by a barrage of other worldly attacks on her, all proving ineffective. Then the video continued to show how others began to create teams as well as the instructions that came with them.Â
There was even an instant in the video where one could even see a grumpy Gamora waddling over to Canti, and then planting herself next to him. With so much commotion it was hard to capture all of it, afterwords Canti displayed an image of Atom beneath an entire buildingâs worth of rubble.
[We had just picked our teams before finding you. It was hard to believe you were alive, but leaving you without a team would have meant death for you.]
Canti extended his arm out towards Atom sure enough he would be able to pick him up and place him onto his back again. Gesturing his hand to Atom to reach out for his own.

đrms crossed nonchalantly once again as the man took a moment to register the information he had been given, deep eyes scanning over his form briefly. She was not terribly familiar with robotic terran, but a normal terran would be rendered absolutely useless with the severity of the injuries he had sustained. On the other hand, who knew if this man was even a terran robot, but considering he appeared more terran than machine obviously proved something.
At his inquiry, Gamora turned to face Canti, curious about his misfortune as well. Fortunately for the two of them, Canti was equipped with that handy screen for a skull. The assassin cringed only faintly as the screen flickered with the image of a building collapsing on the machine whom stood before her-- even though her body had been bio-genetically enhanced, she wouldnât leave there with at least some injury.
Eyes followed Cantiâs arm as he offered assistance to the machine. Gamora rolled her eyes briefly before taking a few glances around her.
â Are we just about ready? We still need to place the beacon. â
Gamoraâs hand fell to the pistol that lay at her hip, prepared to leave.
