and if we found love in this cruel world, what could we not find?
romantic relationships blah blah blah okay but what about risking everything for your sibling. what about the unwavering love and care that can only come from a parent to a child. what about someone who just wants their best friend back. ever thought of that.
the nazi israeli army must be stopped like actually its insane this has gone on for this long
I actually woke up this morning and was thinking how insane it is that the world didn't burst into flames hearing the voice recording of a six year old trapped in a car with her dead family pleading for someone to help her. How has that recording alone not move mountains? Or the fact that the official crews who coordinated with the IDF to go rescue her were killed along with her? Where is that story now? Where did people shelve it? How did things move past this one documented story, let alone the tens of thousand others?
Margarita Karapanou, tr. by Karen Emmerich, from Rien ne va plus
[Text ID: “—Every time I want to write, I want to write love stories. But as soon as I pick up the pen I’m overcome by horror.”]
quarter life crisis
it's always so fascinating and heartbreaking when a character in a story is simultaneously idolized and abused. a chosen prophet destined for martyrdom. a child prodigy forced to grow up too fast. a powerful warrior raised as nothing but a weapon. there's just something so uniquely messed up about singing someone's praises whilst destroying them.
a star child burning.
Love should calm the storm inside of you, not provoke it.
