I LOVE BOOKS!! I LOVE READING!!! READING MIGHT BE MY FAVOURITE WAY TO DEVOUR MEDIA!!!

But specifically if it is presented in books. Physical books. I have no love for e-books, and I might read a greater deal of fanfiction if it weren't all confined to screens.

I love to feel pages between my fingers and the weight of the book in my hand, and I love that my eyes can rest for once instead of being fixed on tiring screens.

I've been reading so much again recently, and it's my joy. I'd say the past couple of weeks, most of my time awake was spent with my nose in a book. I may finally have rekindled the will to read through all the books that have been waiting on my shelves.

Whenever I read, I lose myself. I'm not the kind to pretend that I live in the world of the stories I enjoy. I prefer to be a silent observer, with little will other than to watch and no presence than the occasional breeze. Books enrapture me so entirely, I don't have to worry about anything for a time and can just enjoy existing right here right now, where I can read wonders such as them.

Wings of Fire OC!! Her name is Corvid. She has weak mind reading that only allows her to feel another dragon's feelings but not their actual thoughts (she also has animus magic, but she doesn't know it yet, and so does anyone else. Once she learns of it, she is horrified). She was raised by a SkyWing envoy close to the palace since she was abandoned by her birth mother. Eventually, she'll find and confront her, and it goes... pretty roughly.

She had a good life with the SkyWings, but something like being abandoned at birth and being completely separated from your tribe well... it does have a weight.

I AM ALSO CURRENTLY OUT OF THE COUNTRY!! I flew for the first time and I'll be gone for like two weeks, so that's why there is less art lol

I got kind of lazy with the shading, but I'm sure you all get the point xD

This drawing would probably be more accurate to Authien in the afterlife (during his lifetime, he would've never looked this stress-free and smooth, lol).

He is a pretty rough character because he is both a victim and an abuser, so he brings a lot of complicated baggage with him. It was only after death that he truly started healing and recognising his own wrongdoings.

Volistvo (also sometimes called Cactus Face by my bestie and me) is a little dickhead.

He is super spoilt, not the brightest and into crypto and scams. He also very frequently cheats on his partners (with whom he tends to be unable to keep a long-term relationship with, unsurprisingly)

He used to be a prince, but since the empire fell apart and royalty is outdated in his country now, he's just dedicated himself to being a celebrity, entrepreneur, and an influencer.

His parents got a divorce when he was around 12 or so, but they weren't super caring beforehand either (cos they were two gay people in an arranged straight marriage neither of them wanted to be in and had him out of obligation more than anything else). He still has access to all the spoils of being born into royalty, though.

Volistvo loves hedonism and doesn't seem to take anything seriously ever. He enjoys making money almost as much as he loves spending it
