'Wooh! It's gonna be so fun!' Honey cheered as they began to head to their destination, not really taking Zelkova's concerns to heart. As she'd said before, she'd never been to a desert before, but it couldn't be that bad, right? She could always just take off her cardigan if it got hot.

'Nah, you worry too much~' She laughed, running on ahead and walking backwards so she could face her new travelling companion as she spoke. 'Besides, isn't that the whole point of an adventure, so just take things as they come? No matter how bad things can get, they always work out in the end.'

She almost tripped up backwards, but Alice caught her sleeve in his mouth, preventing her from having a nasty fall. Honey took this as a sign to start walking normally again, though not before lifting the absol up under his belly and carrying him along in her arms. The pokemon, of course, wasn’t the least bit pleased by this, but for some reason he didn’t protest- even though he was far too large to be carried in the first place. 

'Ooh, another choice, huh?' The trainer hummed, burying her face in the long white fur on the back of Alice's neck. 'Well if we're walking for too long we could get tired, and I wanna see some pokemon! So how about we go through the wilds?'

"Alllllrighty then." Zelkova confirmed, beginning to walk forward with BK-201 closely following him. in the distance was the desert that he had mentioned. It would be good to get a new Pokemon on his team, especially since BK-201 is his only companion in tow as of right now.

As the terrain slowly shifted to sand as they pressed on the environment continued to get hotter and hotter. The two passed the time with small talk and common gaps of silence before finding a new topic to talk about. Zelkova's footsteps were becoming heavy and sunk into the sand with every step, all the metal weighing him down a bit. However, his helmet was regulating the temperature of his head, which circulated to the rest of his body, keeping him cool. Lucking he was fully clothed and had no way of running the risk of intense sunburning. He was worried for Honey though, because though she was much lighter and could traverse the sand more easily, she didn't have many layers to protect against the burning hot sun. He took a step and turned his body around, keeping his footing.

"Honey, how are you faring? Are you doing alright? At least enough to keep going?" Zelkova scouted the area. There was no sign of incoming sandstorms, luckily. Although one thing worried him immensely. A few of his visually intensive apps were glitching out due to being in the desert. He checked which features were not functioning, only to realize his map wasn't functioning properly. Now that he thought about it, they should have reached the city much sooner than expected. He made an educated guess that they passed it when he wasn't looking at the map. 

"Do you happen to know where we are? I think we may be in the middle of the Scarab Desert, but I'm not entirely sure. I think-" Before he could finish his thought, bumps in the sand were creeping towards the duo, more than likely Pokemon hiding in the sand. There was one heading straight for him, as well as on from another direction heading straight towards Honey. "Wild Pokemon heading our way, be ready!" Zelkova warned as BK-201 was ready to fight.

((Sorry for the inactivity, I had Finals and then Christmas followed by my birthday :>. But as of now I'm back on track, and I'll make sure to reply to RPs asap. Also gonna keep answering questions with doodles when they appear. Concerning the asks I'm experimenting with chibis and seeing which is easiest to do so I can keep doing pictures for every one. Also I am super open to being asked to RP, so if you have a prompt, or you'd like me to select a prompt from a list then feel free to tell me. I know I need to start RPs with a couple people here so I'll be getting on that too!))

Every now and then he glanced toward BK-209. He was somewhat worried, as during the bus ride he had read about type advantages and knew that his Beldum, that was psychic and steel type would get annihilated by a dark type. He was anxiously hoping things wouldn’t escalated to him already losing all his pokemon.

'Hehe, well I suppose you're right…' Honey shrugged, rather enjoying teasing the strange man. She watched the two pokemon confront each other, though she was yet to notice any hostility between them.

'Oh don't be silly~ Alice is as harmless as a Spewpa! And hey, his name is perfect, isn't that right Alice?'

The Absol turned to his trainer then, a dark look on his face, but as usual Honey’s complete obliviousness calmed him down. He let out a huff of a sigh, sitting by the girl’s side and glaring at the stranger who he still didn’t like. 

'Desert…?' Honey mumbled, playing with her hair absent-mindedly. 'Oh, yeah! I've never been to a desert before! Let's go there!'

Upon hear that the Absol posed no sort of real threat, he sighed in relief. BK-209 looking at him in glee. It circled the other pokemon as well as Honey, and afterward orbited its trainer. Zelkova pinched the bridge of his nose, or at least made it look like he was, as his thumb and index finger were on his helmet.

"Well, if we're going into the desert, I recommend to be prepared for intense heat, and then according to what little I've read about deserts, a phenomenon know as a sandstorm are not uncommon. I believe I'll be fine, but you do not appear aptly dressed for such conditions."

He was referencing his map, in order to observe the distance of desert they would have to actually need to cross. There was an option of taking the road, or there was the straightaway, with the risk of running into wild pokemon.

"You see, the circular discs on the sides of the helmet have an inner ring that takes in air and disperses it into the helmet. If the air is in unsuitable living conditions then a filtration system will kick in, with the only drawback being less air coming in, meaning only in situations where the air is unfit for living It is increasingly difficult to breath. There is also a drawback that the filter needs to be replaced after each use. There is also an inner jack I can use to listen to audio I so chose, via a double male audio jack that I keep in the inside of my coat."

As soon as Alice hit the floor he noticed Zel’s peculiar mask and took a defensive stance in front of Honey, growling quietly but threateningly.

'Oh, just ignore him~' The trainer giggled, putting the empty ball away. 'He's just not good with strangers, that's all.'

"It's a fine name, that is what it is." He defended. He was somewhat offended that she just said his name was weird. "Oh, my name is weird, said by the girl named after food."

As she brought out her Absol, it looked quite threatening toward Zelkova, Causing BK-209 to shoot over to him, filling the the gap between Zelkova and the Absol, apparently called Alice. BK-209 made no further action, at least until Zelkova would command it to.

"Ignoring that would be a little more than difficult to do considering it looks like it wants to rip me apart. Alice, was it? I think that fits just as much as BK-209 at this point." 

He made every attempt to ignore Alice and BK-209's stare-down to turn his attention toward Honey. "So anyway, what we can do is go southwest and head for the city in the desert, or we can head northeast, go past Route 602 and arrive in Situla Town. Your choice."

'Wow, so this is your pokemon, huh?' She beamed, leaning forward to say hello. 'Waaah~ He's so cute~' She cooed, resisting the urge to pull into a hug. 'So what's this little guy's name, anyways?'

She blinked blankly, standing up straight to look back to the Beldum’s owner. 

'Wait…did I ask what your name is before now?'

Zelkova turned to the girl, and then to his Beldum, who spun in the air excitedly, displaying an '!' in it's eye socket. Zelkova chuckled a bit.

"It's name is BK-209. You may pet him if you would like to." BK-209 playfully rubbed against Honey, now expecting pets.

"Ah, you did not ask for my name, or vise-versa for that matter." Zelkova said, pretending to only notice just now. He motioned to himself. "My name is Zelkova Ferrum, a pleasure to officially meet you." He then motioned to her, by taking the brown bow still clinging to his hood and planting it on honey.

He took a look at their now present location, trying to get a grasp on where they now need to go. They appeared to be located in a planes area, although looking forward there appeared to be the beginnings of the tundra. Then looking toward the path where the bus appeared to be continuing looked as if this would transition into desert if they walked far enough.

"Map." He whispered to himself, hoping to get additional information. unbeknownst to those around him, he was looking over a picture of the map through the interface in his helmet. Most places would be blurred until he actually visited them, since this region was totally new to him. Though a couple things were clear.

They appeared to be smack dab in the middle of Route 602. So they could either go northeast and go through route 601 to get to Situla Town. Or they could go southwest and reach a city that he has not discovered yet. Both options were fairly good for him either way. He'd have to ask the girl what she thought. He closed the map and turned to her.

"Oh, right. So what may I ask is your name?"
