This time, I worked on drops and water. My drops were bad before, and the water was even worse.

Plus, I changed the watermark. Now it's not a stupid signature on the art, but a stamp.

It seems that something worked out, but there are still flaws.

Here I decided to experiment a little with my two styles (comic and shaded), and I came up with a third, hybrid :()

Well, I like this combination even more than shading and that anime one, so I will develop this experimental one already.

Today, an idea that I have been hatching for two weeks in my head is on the agenda.

And yes, I will say in advance, a screenshot of my laptop was used in the art, so this is not a hack.

About the idea: it occurred to me to come up with a plot in which a certain Hide, who is a programmer and who is investigating a murder case, creates either a virus or an antivirus called ZENON. He worked as an antivirus, found dangerous files, deleted them, etc., etc., and like a regular virus, he worked autonomously, multiplied through the network, monitored the system status and collected data on suspects if Hide ordered him. A kind of hybrid. But that wasn't the only point-ZENON was powered by AI. That is, he could think, communicate, and act independently, but within reason and without harm to the creator. ZENON also had protection from hackers, its own thoughts and emotions, which manifested themselves in different ways.

And finally, my hands have reached the point of rendering this moment.

I started drawing this art last year in November, but due to my inexperience at that time, I postponed it until better times. Initially, the art was dedicated to one song, and here, I wanted to depict a kind of transition from the old style to the new (where the artist was depicted was the old style, and where Zeno was the new one). As a result, Zeno remained in the new style (even the paint almost did not change), and the artist has undergone changes and now his "territory" has a cross between the old style and the new.

But that's not even the whole point.

My friend passed away yesterday. So, I dedicate the art to him.

So, today's post will be unusual.

I've been sketching it out in a notebook for two days, and only today have I translated my sketches into Ibis.

I decided to create an art based on a very old game that was released in 1997. I played it during my third and fourth years of college, and I really enjoyed it. In this game, you play as an underground lord. You're a guardian whose kingdom is being attacked by various heroes, adventurers, and even other underground guardians. Your goal is to build a base, earn gold, defend against raids, and improve your underground city. It's a strategy game, but you can't control the creatures like in a regular RTS. Instead, you either take them in your arms and hurl them at the invading enemy, or you move into one of your residents and fuck them all up. The very possession of a creature turns the game into a shooter and each inhabitant sees the world in his own way. Even everyone has their own name. But, in the skin of a hard worker, it's better not to stay too long, otherwise there won't be time to keep an eye on the base.

I drew my own variation of units and units. Then I'll finish drawing the creatures.

Before that, I was drawing art with these two soldiers from memory, without relying on the accurate wardrobe of different troops (in the case of Zeni, I just drew a shoulder patch with a swastika and said, "This is a German").

I thought about it, and I decided that it was all bullshit, and it was better to buy real outfits than the ones that were worn by the Persians in the edges of their heads.

Thus, Nacht's clothing became simpler, making him an ordinary stormtrooper soldier. I had to work hard on Zeno's attire. The SS soldiers themselves, as well as their uniforms, had a lot of symbolism. It wasn't until yesterday, when I was sketching Zeno in my sketchbook, that I realized that the rank of the Germans was determined by the symbols on their collars :(). Therefore, I have Zeno depicted as a senior stormtrooper leader (Obersturmführer) :().

And yes, it's been a while since Nacht has hugged someone, and he wanted to hug a pillow😅
