A cheaper Zet: But probably not for long...

So, Zets have taken a bit of a fall today, probably because a few new coins have come on the market: Butterfly coin is a SHA-256 coin which means it is mined by the most prevalent new miners on the market (called ASICs). It just came out today, and is significantly harder to mine than zetas are initially (though this is changing quickly, as zetas get harder to mine quite rapidly...) The SecureCoin is a new coin mined with a different Scrypt based form of mining, so many with zets were dropping a few of their coins fore the SecureCoin.

I've been mining a few Butterflycoins just because they are new, but I remain bullish on zetas, and I am working for a soon to be discussed app that relies on zeta evaluation.

Another note: I notice CoinEX exchange (a newer exchange that is just getting over some hiccups) has zets for far lower than Cryptsy. I wonder how many people are profiting off of this tit for tat?

Is there a ZetaCoin Steam coming? @markman2012 on twitter says yes. I do like his graphic, now we just have to see if a full site appears. If a service does open up, I pledge to use my Zetas to download Space Ace to my Mac, and give it a nostalgic review. Would like to see exactly how a steam game is distributed, ported to my mac, etc.

How to Install a Zetacoin Wallet:

Installing your first wallet FROM SOURCE can be an intimidating and frustrating affair. Especially with some of these coins that are forks of other coins. The misguiding labels can be intimidating and irritating. My advice is, don't get hung up on a mislabelled folder here and there (i.e. it says "Bitcoin" instead of "Zetacoin" -- this is what happens when 'forking' occurs) Here is the easiest way to install a etacoin wallet on a Linux machine:

1. Install QT Installer -- http://qt-project.org/downloads

2. Download the repository as .zip file -- https://github.com/zetacoin/zetacoin

3. Open the file zetacoin-qt.pro in the QT Designer

4. "Build" (Hit the build button, it looks like a play button, in the QT Designer interface)

5. BOOM! You got a wallet, now go get some Zetacoin.

How I started mining ZetaCoin...

Hey there, my name is Anderson. I started this site because I've jumped on the ZetaCoin bandwagon. I started mining with a tiny little USB ASIC miner like these: It was just a few days ago, my little miner isn't making as much as it was when I started, but I still think this is a great coin, and right now it is definitely the most popular in its current price range (i.e. ITS STILL CHEAP PEOPLE). Anybody with bitcoin, I'd suggest picking up a few.

The only problems for me at the moment are: 1. There is only one exchange (and it is in beta) that is trading the coin [SEE ANNOUNCEMENT for link to exchange] 2. I'm on a MAC and the wallet (zetacoin-qt)setup is extremely difficult at the moment (imagine it is much easier on Windows or Linux), I'm told it will soon be a much easier process to install it.

So why am I so bullish on ZetaCoin?

BECAUSE: VISITORS!!!
