Technology has come a long way
I’m so heartbroken because of what is happening to Notre Dame. The view up there was so amazing, it was one of my favourite things in Paris… Here some pictures I took 2 years ago…
… and I will miss you all
kära vän Lars and Mats my epicurean friends I will so miss you… your love is always beautiful!
How to backup your blog, since the Tumblr backup feature doesn’t appear to work right now.
Install: FireFox: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/ Install Export Cookies: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/export-cookies-txt/?src=search HTTrack: https://www.httrack.com/
Login to Tumblr with FireFox.
ALL THE FOLLOWING STEPS ARE NUMBERED AND MATCH THEIR RESPECTIVELY NUMBERED IMAGE
STEP 1 Click the cookie icon in your toolbar. Save the file somewhere you will remember, and name it cookies.txt
STEP 2 Open “windows explorer” or “my computer”.
Up to Windows 7: you can do this by clicking start, type explorer, press enter.
On Windows 8, instead hover your mouse in the upper-right corner of the screen, then click the magnifying glass icon. Type file explorer.
In Windows 10, open the Start Menu and scroll the list with all the apps until you reach the folder called “Windows System.” Open it, and you should find a shortcut for File Explorer inside.
STEP 3 Find where you saved cookies.txt. Right-click it, click COPY. Navigate your way to: C:\Program Files\WinHTTrack Right-click the mouse inside of that folder and PASTE the cookies.txt.
STEP 4 Open HTTrack. Click next.
STEP 5 Type a name for the project, click next.
STEP 6 Paste the URL (address) for your blog under “Web Addresses”. Optional: click “set options”, click the LIMITS tab, under “max transfer rate” put it to a higher setting. This will use more of your internet bandwidth but will be faster (depending on your connection). Click next.
STEP 7 Click finish.
STEP 8 Wait as it works. This can take a long time depending how much stuff you have. Don’t be alarmed if it takes hours or more.
STEP 9 Eventually it will finish and give you a message something like “do you want to delete the temporary file”, this doesn’t matter either way. After it’s done, open explorer in the same manner as earlier and navigate to: C:\My Web Sites You’ll see a folder named whatever you called it earlier. Open that. Now click index.html.
There you go, now you have the entire site saved locally.
