ISAT TATTOO HEADCANONS!!! ⬇️

• being permanent, ink-based tattoos are a taboo to followers of the change belief.

some vaugardians have a craft equivalent of tattoos (basically longer lasting temporary tattoos), but they still aren't a very popular practice.

• siffrin has ink-based tattoos on their collarbone, upper back, and upper arms. they are not too complicated, just black dots and lines that depict various constellations. they got them pre-canon, but have no memory of doing so (they only remember waking up one day with a terrible headache and the itchy freshly inked tattoos.)

• odile has an ink-based full back tattoo. no one has ever seen it or knows what it depicts, only seeing fragments of it when she wears sleeveless or loose clothing.

after the whole "guessing odile's field of research" trend dies down, the party starts making eccentric guesses about what her tattoo could be.

odile finds it quite endearing, and even goes along with it sometimes ("yes bonnie, you're correct, my tattoo is 5 crabs fighting each other with kitchen utensils.")

• mirabelle does not have any ink tattoos; but after having a conversation with siffrin post-canon about her problems with the expectations of the change belief, she starts to heavily consider getting one. as a way to break tradition as a form of change!!

i like to think she would eventually get a tattoo, but i can't figure out what it would be.
