FIND YOUR SECRET SAUCE!
Few days ago, i met an inspiring man, named Mr. Wempy Dyocta Koto. It’s such a blessing to have a chance to do a deep conservation with him, since he’s one of the most young successful businessman and that moment might be the first and the last moment i can learn something directly from him.
Anyway, it’s not about the people that i will talk about. I’ll tell you one of the lesson that really HITS me and according to my existing condition.
I was in doubt for several months. My mind kept asking me who i really am, what’s the value of my ownself, and who am i going to be. Well, i felt kinda pathetic when i realized that i didn’t even know who i really am. Maybe some people thought that i was too hyperbola (yes, some of my friends told me), but it really annoyed me.
And in that conversation, Mr. Wempy asked us to have self-awareness, find our talent and our secret sauce. And YAP! It slapped me, punched me across my mind and my heart. I was in my self-research and i didn’t know how to deal with that.
So, i asked to Da Wemp (how’s he usually called by people), when did he realize his own strength, weakness, talent. When did he realize he’d already found his element, where his natural talents meet personal passions.
And he said, it took 22 years to realize who i really am and i hope you will not spend too much time to discover your own like me.
HA! So, it’s natural. Well fifa, it’s natural if you find a hard time to discover your ownself. I’m not that hyperbola.
So, i’m googling and making this summary. Hope it will help me to discover my secret sauce (yap, i’m not that patient to wait until 22 years) and i hope it will help you, everyone, who has the same problem with me.
Try taking some personality tests. They can offer insights into the way that you think. Look for the book Please Understand Me by Kiersey, Find Your Element by Sir Ken Robinson, or try the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Play. Whatever that means to you, let yourself do it. Experiment, explore, investigate. Try doing different things and entertain different activities. Even try on different personalities.
Notice what people tell you about yourself. Notice what’s the good and bad side in you . Mr. Wempy advised me to do a deep conversation with people around me, who really know me. He said it really helped him to discover his ownself. So, find your people who truly know everything about you and want to help you. She/he is not always someone in your circle.
Consider your interests. What sorts of things do you like to read about, write about, or talk about? What shows do you watch on television? What magazine and newspaper articles catch your eye?
Help find a friend’s talent. You might discover your own in the process!
