My Portfolio :)
I took this photo at a lonely stop somewhere outside El Paso, TX.
I was driving back home to Texas from California after visiting my family for the holidays. It was a long drive that I was splitting with my boyfriend. Twenty-two hours in my tiny car with our dog and our cat. Every now and then we would have to pull over to let our pets stretch so we ended up stopping four hours away from home in El Paso.
It was so early that the sun had barely started to rise creating this cotton candy effect in the clouds. The air was crisp and wet from the storm the night before. For twenty minutes I stood in the cold with my dog just staring at the clouds as they changed color, and I felt peace.
When I first started photography I spent a lot of time at my local zoo. At the time I wasn't focusing on any specific genre of photography, I was just simply photographing everything I could for the practice.
The day I took this photo I knew I found my genre. It lead me to reach out to the zoo and become a volunteer photographer. There I could build my portfolio and get experience doing professional work.
The crazy thing is, I almost didn't reach out to them because I was nervous about being too new to industry or not having the right amount of experience. Now, my photos are on their website.
Crazy what happens when you take a chance.

Cant wait for this weather again 🌧️🍂
There’s no cell service by this point - fine by me.
Puffed up and ready to fight.
Before the Texas sun became too unbearable to be outside for long we took our dog to the park. We would go often because our dog loved it, and at the time I would offer free pictures to the other dog owners visiting the park to get some practice and build a portfolio. At the time I had it in my head that I would become this big time dog park photographer--lol, delulu.
During one of these park visits I met this Northen Mockingbird. He flew all around between the trees and I would follow each time with my camera. After playing a few games of chase he started to be frustrated that I was in his space so he puffed his feathers as big as he could, and I knew to leave.
Look at how angry he looks, lol.
I could just stare at her forever
This is a macro image of a pine stem with tiny snow crystals fluffed throughout.
I grew up in the deserts of Southern California. More specifically I grew up in the desert that GTA5 based the Grand Senora Desert off of. That is beside the point. The point is I never saw snow growing up.
The first time I really got to see it fall I was visiting my mother in Colorado. We got a solid 4 inches of snow. I was so mesmerized by how still the air was at night after it stopped falling, and how it glistened in the night.
It snowed for four days. This was the only photo I got.
Before I had my first camera, I had my iphone 8. Before I knew anything about exposure compensation or editing I would just snap a quick pic and edit with the built in features on my phone.
I took this photo flying from Colorado home to Texas. I was visiting my mom for the first time after not seeing her for an entire year. She and I had moved out of California at the same time. Her to Denver, me to South Texas. She previously had previously welcomed my boyfriend and I into her home for six months after we had gotten kicked out of his family home. My mom and I aren't always close but, she was there for us. To not see her for a year was hard after all that.
I eventually got to go spend two weeks with my mom full of catching up and going to Coors Field to catch a few baseball games. We had a blast. Eventually the fun ended with me catching an early flight home. I made sure not to cry the whole time I was leaving but, as soon as the plane took off I could feel all my tears welling up. I quickly got over it cause I didn't wanna get caught ugly crying on the plane and have to deal with someone else. But still, its hard leaving family.
I snapped this photo with my iphone just as the sun was coming up on my flight home. Not a high quality photo but its high quality in the heart.
Hey tumblr, i'm new here. I'm a nature & wildlife photographer.
I've been photographing for almost one year. I believe I started in October of 2022 but i'm not sure. Thats a ballpark guess. I never gave any thought to being a photographer, I actually grew up in ballet and always thought thats what I would do. Buuut, after many failed career attempts and lots of defining life moments, I finally found my way to a camera. Photography is my joy in life, and I would love to share it with you. If you like nature and wildlife consider giving me a follow :)
