Inside and just outside of 740 was becoming such a stark contrast. Maybe it was insensitive, inconsiderate, but the protesters outside should have made people wonder who the monsters really were.Â
Walking across the lobby with a relaxed and confident gait, Sabine was mentally preparing herself. They would most likely be on her once she set a foot out the door, all the way until she got into the car waiting for her. She strode across the lobby, a bag of rolled up yarn in her arms for some kitten photo shoot her project group was assigned to. She didnât need to notice the man she was walking past until he stood and bumped right into her.
âOh â no, no, Iâm not hurt.â Came her distracted reply as she looked down and searched the floor. âBut I dropped these balls of yarn, I should have tied the bag closed. This was bound to happen.â The yarn had rolled away from them, leaving lines of string in their wake. âYou mind helping me out?â She asked, pointing to a ball that rolled underneath his legs.Â
Yarn. Yarn everywhere. Zion felt horrible about putting a stop to wherever she was going. Kneeling down he began to wrap up the yarn as neatly as he could. âIâm so very sorry, really, I am. Iâm just...distracted. A lotâs been going on and...yeah. Sorry. He shot her a smile and handed her the wrapped ball of yarn, reaching for a blue ball that had rolled under a nearby chair. âYouâre brave, going out into that mess of people you know. Theyâre pretty much out for blood if you ask me.â
