“Really now Dar?” Max smiled crookedly while his eyebrow was raised. “Well then you’re a fuckboy!” He accussed in a mocking manner, pointing a finger at his big brother. “Try not to let that bother you brother.” He added smugly and folded his long arms over his midsection. “Also, I think walking around with a paper bag on my head would be quite amusing. It could go two ways, it could make people laugh, or cry from the sheer creepiness of it. Either way, I’d be amused. I never get to creep anyone out back home.”

“I did not know that, but thank you. I’ll make sure to remember.” Max beamed with a curt nod. “Yes indeed but to most, I think that background is irrelevant. To me, I should pay attention. I want to see Greenland and Iceland in person after all. Are you a student as well?”

A laugh spilled from her lips. Truthfully she didn’t know what it was but it sounded funny. “Perhaps it means you look like a boy that sleeps around a lot. This place seems to shame sexual behavior. Well, unless you have a big butt or you’re a man–I think…I’d take it as a compliment.”

A grimace took over the prince’s face upon hearing that reply. Max found the statement odd because he was alien to terms such as “sleeping around” and “big butt”. “I really don’t sleep around a lot.” He confessed in the literal sense of sleeping. Exasperation replaced the grimace while he gave recognition to his insomnia. “I thought people could tell from the dark circles beneath my eyes.” He murmured and rubbed his under-eye area with a finger. “Also if calling someone a fuckboy shames sexual behavior then I’ll pay no mind to it. I lack that kind of behavior!” He admitted, and had no problem doing so. He has already told one person, might as well just pour it out before he gets called other appalling adjectives again.

“No.” Nova spoke truthfully, without a moment hesitation. “I don’t see what your looks have to do with stuff like that either. I think you look perfectly fine . “ Nova had noticed how distressed he seemed by the word, so she tried to offer them a reassuring smile. “I don’t think It’s something you should worry about. People in this world are extremely weird. They say things for the weirdest of reasons. Like, a while ago someone called me a ‘dime’. You know, like the coin they have here? I have no idea what he meant by that. Was he trying to say I was small? Or maybe that I’m rusty-looking? Whatever that means That’s one thing  I don’t really understand about this world. Why does everyone seem to have a desire to comment on other people’s appearance? Especially with such silly phrases? It’s so weird.” Nova had meant to be reassuring however she ended up having a mini rant session with Max. The last thing anyone wanted to hear was someone complain. She turned to smile at him again, this time a bit embarrassed by her tangent, as she placed her hands calmly on her lap. “So uh.. again, don’t worry. I think you look fine. Someone was just trying to be mean to you I think. Who knows maybe I’m wrong and ‘fuckboy’ is actually a nice thing? Like…uh.. you look like you’re fucking awesome, boy?”

One of Max’s eyebrows shot up as the lady stumbled into a rant. It wasn’t that he minded it- because he didn’t mind at all -it was because he was amused by her tiny complaint. The beings in Fantasia were just as weird as the humans on earth, if not more; however, it was yet a different kind of weird. Comments regarding appearances and silly phrases weren’t new to him, in fact, he has gotten a fair share especially being a prince and always being the subject of watchful eyes. The term fuckboy however, was something he needed yet to learn. “Dime. I know what that means.” He replied with a chuckle. “It means he found you very attractive.” He explained as his lips stretched outwards into a toothless smile. “And thank you. They were being mean,” He nodded in agreement, putting emphasis on the word were. “but I’m sure I will get over it...” He trailed off, a grimace formulating on his face. “Eventually.” He added as an afterthought.

“I think it might be the haircut they gave you,” olive suggested, attempting to hide her amusement as max’s expression twisted into grimace. she offered him her phone screen, which displayed a visual of a ‘fuckboy’, whom was sporting the same hairdo. “you were set up to fail.” 

Feeling intrigued, not just by the hairdo, but also Olive’s playful expression, Max peered at her device’s screen. His hand immediately flew up to pat his own golden hair as soon as he observed the similarities with the boy in the photograph. “I’ve gotten quite a lot of compliments in Fantasia. Earthlings are so.. complex.” He described, to put it in a nicer term. “Should I change my hair?” He inquired as he glanced up to meet Olive’s doe brown eyes.

“I do not fuck.” Maximus blurted out, his expression contorting into a grimace as soon as the realization that he said something to embarrass himself sank in. “I mean,” He began and tried to explain his response; however, he could not be bothered in that moment to defend himself and opted to just change the subject all together since the other person already started it. “Sort of like how the country Iceland here on earth is a very green and grassy place, while Greenland is full of snow?”

“it’s good to see you too, my friend!” he wasn’t as close to maximus as he was to his brother or sister, but, nonetheless, he appreciated the young man. he saw him as a good example for all royals–including himself. “the…second word,” saying fuck was something wren was not going to do in public. he was a gentleman after all. “you’re not going to believe this,” he reached into his trouser pocket and pulled out a small book with MINI OXFORD ENGLISH DICTIONARY on the cover. “i got it at the bookstore, thought it would be helpful to keep on hand for a bit.”

Max tilted his head to the side as he made a face upon getting that reply from Wren. Though the younger man seemed uptight most times, possessed by the spirit of a fifty-year-old philosopher, or just a downright mama’s boy nerd - in the traditional sense - he was nonetheless young. “What are you, seven?” He teased. “You mean fuck.” He chuckled, putting an emphasis on the swear. His deep blues traveled down to what Wren was holding, a laugh bubbling up his throat. “No way!” He exclaimed then snatched it from his companion’s hand. “How resourceful. I should get myself one of these!” He thought out loud and held the book up; though truthfully, in a world and time taken over by slang, a dictionary was not a survival tool anymore.

Boy implies  gender. So then… I think they either mean you look like you are damaged or someone who involves themselves with sexual intercourse.” 

Max sucked his bottom lip inwards then stuck his tongue out to the corner of his mouth to lick across. “I don’t quite understand how my looks are associated to that.” He stated then pointed at his face, unaware of the distressed expression he was sporting. “Do I look like that to you?” He questioned, though he did not want her to answer that.

Maximus turned to look at the bubbly, small-framed Olive, unable to hide the bemusement painted on his face. “I literally did not do anything disrespectful to those people for me to earn that.” He said in his defense. “How do you even do shit? That’s disgusting!” He exclaimed, the bemusment quickly shifting into a grimace.

The blonde’s eyebrows shot up at the same time his eyelids blinked in immediate response. “I am even more appalled.” He announced; however, his expression told a different story. He looked a bit hurt by the comments he received prior to their conversation. “I don’t understand. I didn’t do anything to earn their insult...” He trailed off with his brows knitted close together before he released a heavy sigh.

Maximus eyed the older man from the top of his light brown- nearly blonde hair - down to his shoes. “Wren," He blinked. “I’m glad I came across you.” He remarked before nodding his head in agreement to the man’s reply to his question. “Did you mean the boy or the fuck?” He asked jokingly, a smirk painted on his face. “Say, you don’t have a dictionary in your pocket do you?”

Kwon had only been away for a couple days and already he missed being back home. Things were different here on earth and Kwon hated being so far away from most of his family. He knew he was safe but he couldn’t help the uneasiness that came along with being in an unfamiliar place. But at least one thing made him feel like he was back at home- the stars. Kwon had found a good place outside where he had the perfect view of them up above and he found it relaxing just to look at them. He was so concentrated on the stars he barely noticed someone approaching him moments later. 

Maximus could not recall a time when he had a good night’s sleep. He couldn’t recall the time his insomnia first kicked in; and he definitely couldn’t recall a time not being alone whenever the sun was out. It had become routine for him to do something productive when he couldn’t sleep; however, it was one of those nights when he felt like being out and about. Examine the world while it was asleep, rather than awake and kind of obnoxious. It was yet another quiet night, colder than usual of course, but just as beautiful as any other. He didn’t take his car in the hopes of freezing to death. He had a theory that maybe if he died on earth, he’d only wake back up in Fantasia. What joy that would be. From afar, as he strolled, he spotted a figure gazing upwards to the sky. Curious as always, Max approached and stood next to the boy, trying to search for whatever he was staring at. “If you don’t stood looking up like that, expect severe neck pain in the morning...” He trailed off and turned his attention back at the boy.
