I am a white woman who is a part of the Michael Jackson fandom, and I can't stand here and say nothing when an enormous number of POC fans and writers in this community are getting so severely harassed and disrespected. This is absolutely not okay whatsoever.

The amount of beautiful and kind people in this fanbase on tumblr that are being called hard r's, or just slurs in general, hurts my heart in so many ways imaginable — and to all of you who have been targeted by these disgusting anons, I am so incredibly sorry for all of the disturbing shit that has been said.

I can't and won't ever understand what the black/POC community goes through with racism, but im not going to stay silent and watch my favourite writers and people in general get bullied to the point they're leaving tumblr. It is NOT something to brush over.

To all of the white mjblr writers and fans, please speak up. I'm absolutely disappointed in what the fandom has come to — especially with blatant racism. It needs to stop.

I genuinely don’t understand where all the hate in the mj community is coming from. Might I remind people, MICHAEL WAS A BLACK MAN. He was also ACQUITTED of all of the charges brought against him. That means (for people who are obviously stupid asf) he WAS NOT guilty.
