He'd surprised himself by actually caring this easily. The usually so selfish and reclusive actor wasn't all that aware of his own feelings at times. Same with Boone. They'd fun, that's it. Until tonight, that's all he'd thought of it. A simple encounter with a man opposite him. Someone who liked to get his hands dirty, who seemed to be so much more in tune with himself, a man of his word while Indra failed to be all those things. He was still struggling to fully balance his life with the hotel and his life as an actor. Torn between duty and his own actual desires, Indra knew he had to make a decision someday -- but not tonight. Boone needed him, just as a companion, a confidant. With meetings getting more frequent despite his break, Indra knew he had to be so much more appreciative of his time with the man who'd made him feel so good. So when Boone asked, he rushed back home. "Hey," Indra smirked ever so slightly, glad that Boone was alright after all. God, he looked absolutely breathtaking in his protective gear. "That'd be me, dirty boy." He raised his arm as a joke, rolling his eyes in the process. "So, what would that be?" Approaching slowly with his eyes fixed on his new helmet, Indra remained quiet for far longer than necessary. A brand new helmet, for him? "You really got me a helmet because of my jealousy?" Just uttering that words drove a shiver down his spine, making it real. "Am I to become your passenger prince?" Indra placed his hand against Boone's check, "I'm here, you can calm down now, though I appreciate your fanboy allure," he joked.
boone only does have a handful of people in his life whom he cares about, and he tries his best to hide them most of the time (either that or he decides to disappear from their lives, there's no in between). indra was becoming of those few in an concerningly fast rate, yet the mechanic chooses not to think too much about it, believing that one day, the actor is not going to stick around for him. that's how things usually are. yet upon their conversation, boone did not hesitate, did not take long to show up at indra's place. he hands his brand new helmet once he's noticed it. "it's for you, sirāperhaps that is the case." he just couldn't give him a straight answer, not yet, at least. boone doesn't really know where this was headed, for now, he wanted to stop whatever it was he was feeling. "are you up to go on a ride with me? with the new bike?"
marisol made absolutely no attempt at being graceful as she flopped down onto her bed, landing with a soft bounce before immediately reaching for the bowl of popcorn she'd placed between them. there was still a lingering sort of post-disney happiness about her, the kind that made her feel like she was carrying around a little bit of magic even after they'd gotten home. though she knew that what she was feeling wasn't really because of disney. she tucked her legs beneath herself, popping a piece of popcorn into her mouth before glancing toward sovaia with a bright little smile. "okay, what horror movies did we pick again?" she asked, reaching for another handful. "i know we had a whole list, but i got a little side tracked staring into your eyes when we were talking about it. " she giggled, completely unashamed.
maisol shifted a little closer until she could place a quick little kiss on sov's lips, before her gaze flicked toward the television. "i'm in the mood for something spooky tonight," she admitted, though the little smile tugging at her lips made it abundantly clear there was an ulterior motive. "mostly because i think horror movies are a very good excuse to cuddle up next to my beautiful girlfriend." marisol's cheeks warmed faintly at the word, even now seeming a little delighted that she actually got to call sovaia that. she reached into the bowl again and offered a piece of popcorn toward her. "please tell me you're spending the night. i promise to let you go back to stella tomorrow. just one more night?"
girlfriend. a word sovaia never thought she'll be able to have herself. marisol is her girlfriend, and she is hers, it was something that has definitely thought to herself a couple of times for the past few days. when she realized that she was harboring feelings for the younger woman, she had found herself floating in quinn's pool, quietly, while her head was in a war with her heart. she was terrified, she only wanted to be the person marisol deserves. it all sort of exploded when they had the talk whilst their travel, and her reassurance gave peace to dimish the rumbling in sovaia's head.
but, still, it was something she never thought she'll have, to be with the most beautiful soul she's ever met in her existence.
"hmm, we picked gothika, house of wax, the exorcism of emily rose... and we picked house of wax to go first." she couldn't help but smile at her words. "and here i was, thinking, i was the only one distracted watching you think. you know your forehead does this little thing whenever you're thinking hard?" she says as she cuddled up to her.
"we can watch any movie and i will still be holding you very tight, my sunshine..." she leans close to give her a soft kiss on the lips. "i am spending the night, don't you ever worry. stella knows. you can even sleep with me at my new room... we can be wherever you want to be, you and me, marisol." she gives her hand a reassuring squeeze. "you do not have to worry about anything, okay?" she moves to kiss her forehead this time. "what's on your mind, baby girl?"

morgan has just been back in town after her business trip, hence she's not really been able to spend time with people she had previous engagements with. she had been messaging holly about the tipsy shores after giving her her promotion, and clemence, having their frequent meetings. and now, vida, where she had not seen in a while, she figured a bouquet that she made along with herself will bea good surprise after her appointment. "my ex-wife..." she did not hesitate to say, yet there was a long pause. "i was taken away for business, so now i'm making it up to her."
mateoās lips parted to say something, not that he knew what that something wouldāve been, but instead they closed again as he reached for booneās hand. his fingers settled there almost instinctively, warm and a little hesitant, as though he was still getting used to the idea that he was allowed to do this. he followed boone further into the house, his gaze wandering with quiet curiosity over the space, taking in the little details that made it feel lived in. āyouāve got a really nice place,ā he said after a moment, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. āit feelsā¦comfortable.ā his thumb brushed absentmindedly against the back of booneās hand before he caught himself, his ears warming just enough to betray the tiny moment. clearing his throat, he glanced back over with a sheepish grin. āsoā¦am i getting the grand tour first, or are we jumping straight into your pretty hair?ā he takes a small step closer to boone, smiling up at him. āand maybe we can go question for question? i tell you a little something about me youāre curious about and you can do the same, sound good? you can even ask me first.ā
"i... try to take care of the whole thing as much as i could, thanks, mateo." boone gives the younger man a grin, as irresponsible as he can be, his place is one of the few things boone maintains, not just because of how frequently he gets company, because it was one of the few things that helps him think. sometimes it does reflects on how his tools are neatly arranged in his box, or how he'd always clean up his station at kurosawa motors whenever he gets a job done. he's sort of neat as a pin that way. "whatever you want, baby, we're not exactly in a rush, are we?" he smirks, gently taking mateo by his chin, making him look only at him. he hums at his next words, considering the idea. "yeah... we can do that. ask me whatever question you'd like to ask, and then i ask you something in return. so..." he pauses. "wanna do that during the grand tour or let's just take this conversation to bed, so you can play with my hair?"
alyssa knew that kajsa had liked them and would frequently stock the fridge when she had went to get groceries. sometimes, she felt like doing something nice just because. but she was wondering why they had been disappearing so quickly. making things quickly when you were in a rush when it came to work made it simple, the blonde could completely relate whenever it had came to that. " oh, sorry ! " alyssa would say. " didn't mean to disturb you or whatever it was that you were doing. " i did ! figured i'd let you know incase you hadn't seen them in there yet. " raising an eyebrow at the mention of sully. had he came over when she wasn't here and stole most of their snacks ? she wouldn't be surprised. " woah, wait ... so, he's been here stealing our food in the first place ? " she asked. " first of all ... since when ? "
"didn't know you'd be such an attentive one." and that was a genuine compliment, which she'd rarely say out loud for anybody, even with alyssa. it was through spencer that the two interacted for more than a few words. "you didn't disturb me by the way, i was just packing for my getaway." she had clothes sprawled on the bed, some of them making it to her suitcase, neatly folded. "yeeeeppp." she then gives the blonde a shrug. "it would be so funny if i put laxatives on them right now, i'm so tempted, but it's a waste of good fruits, and i love them so..."
the past twenty-four hours had been eventful for boone, from his argument with reverie that has sent him into impulsively and finally buying the bike he wanted for years, then posting his solo rides, which led to him coming to see indra upon his reaction to him flirting with natalia. it was one domino piece after the other, and now he's found himself back at indra's, a new helmet neatly sitting behind him as he pulls up. he immediately hops off, grabbing his gift and runs inside the condo, as if he was running out of time, that by the time he reaches his door, he was taking deep breaths as he gave a couple of knocks. "hello, pretty boy." he greets the second the door opens, voice muffled, but the lines beside his eyes could tell the actor that he as smirking. "i have a delivery... for mr. indra byron-mewar?"

Summer was always insane for Hinata working at the boat rentals. Tourists loved to visit and rent boats and even go on dolphin tours. Not to mention that Hinata was a scuba diving instructor on the side, as well as enjoying his own hobbies like deep sea fishing and surfing. He enjoyed being outside and his busy summers, but even he could get too much sun. As Hinata slowly walked into the room, he winced at the feeling of his shirt just brushing against his sunburnt skin.
"oh, that's not good, sweetheart... did you forget to...?" quintessa sees the sunburn on hinata's skin the second he lifts up his shirt, grimacing at the side. she had joined a scuba diving class of his, and was just about to slip out of the locker room. yet, it sounded like the young man needed help with the way he winced. "do you have something for a cold compress? if not, you should take a cold bath for ten to fifteen minutes. do you have an ibuprofen? that would help too." she puts down her duffel bag as she looks at it better. "i suggest a gel pain reliever, too. how long were you out and forgot to put some sunscreen?"

Kieran had been talking a lot of confidence for someone who had absolutely no business doing so. "I'm just saying," She announced, spinning a hot pink bowling ball in her hands like she was moments away from competing in a professional tournament, "I've seen enough bowling movies to know this is at least eighty percent mindset."
The ball slipped ever so slightly in her grip, but she caught it before it hit the floor. "...That didn't happen." With all the confidence she could muster, the petite young woman stepped up to the lane with a dramatic breath, and sent the ball rolling.
It immediately veered left: Hard. Thunk - straight into the gutter. Silence followed as she stared after it for a moment, all before slowly turning back toward the seating area. "I'd like to formally blame the lane." She pointed a finger towards it, accusingly. "It had bad vibes." A laugh escaped her as she grabbed another ball from the rack, shaking her head at herself. "Alright, redemption round. Nobody look at me."
She waited approximately half a second before glancing over at the nearest person anyway. "...You looked, didn't you?" A crooked grin spread across her face. "Be honest; was it as tragic as it felt, or do I still have enough dignity left to finish this game?"
quintessa stood there quietly, beer in hand as she watches kieran move around and prepare to take her shot, amusement etched on her expression as she kept nodding at her words. "go on, love, i would say we have all the time in the world, but i have been itching to take my turn." not that she was good at this sport, perse, but the fire captain does like a challenge herself from time to time, something to think about outside her work. with how tense her calls can be, she needed something fun to balance it all out.
she seemed prepared, ready, knowing what she's doing for a solid second, and then there it is. gutter ball. "uhuh, it was the lane...absolutely the lane." the older woman chuckles, putting her beer down, this time she stands close to the mechanic. "i have been watching the entire time, can't look away, sweetheart." she shakes her head. "you have to keep mind of your swing, and the way your ball will roll... come on, you can still salvage this, kieran."

quintessa was born and raised in palmview at the only child of parent who had showed her nothing but love and raised her with such good values. growing up, she had been nothing but loving to them, and she had never hesitated to show them that. she was never shy of it, yet, when she turned seventeen, for some reason, the switch in her head flipped.
people thought it was just teenage angst, that she would eventually grow out of it, yet ones who were closest to her knew the day that changed her to the woman that she is today.
it was just a weekend summer trip with her and few of her friends, they were celebrating their graduation heading to clearwater, when their car lost control, swerving to the opposite lane and meeting their demise.
only quintessa was able to make it out, even after she picked up the strength to get them all out of there. as much effort as she could, she was already too late.
and that had influenced her to pursue being a firefighter, her parents finding out that she was going to the firefighter academy when she got in. it was the only thing in her mind at this point, maybe this would be something that could help her cope with the fact that couldnāt save them, be able to save people and not fail them like she once had failed her friends.
at twenty-four, she gives birth to stella rose st. james, named her after two of her best friends, and she became the center of her universe. it was unexpected, she was unexpected, but she is a blessing in disguise, the light that had brightened up her life after years of keeping the darkness to herself. she did her best to pass on the love and the values she had learned from her parents, and at the same time, she had learned to be patient, to help her growth, took her to classes, anywhere she could pour the endless energy she had that her mother loved and still does to this day.
quintessa doesnāt ever want to dim stellaās light, to be able to keep something that sheās lost at such a young age.
over the years, besides raising stella, quintessa kept focus on her career, quietly climbing into the ranks, followed her superiorās orders, though would break them on several occasions if it means saving lives. that had been her number one priority throughout.
all that hardwork that she has put in, it eventually came to fruition, as a year ago, lieutenant quintessa st. james has now been promoted to captain quintessa st. james.
and her values remained the same, she will continuously hold on to them if it means keeping everyone safe.
evelyn just needed to get this fixed up as soon as possible so she could get herself to and from work. " you think that you found the reason ? " evelyn would repeat with a quick raise of her eyebrow. she's been struggling to get this car fixed up. the only person that she knew of that would've been able to fix it up at all would've been boone. sure, she could've went to anybody at all to fix it. yet ... here she was. at the mechanic, trying to get it fixed up by him. " whatever you've got to do ... feel free to just do it. i don't really think i've got too much knowledge in how cars work anyway, so, whatever you think would work. " she gave boone a blank stare and looked around the both of them. " no ā " she'd pause again. " okay, no. that wasn't me at all. are you messing with me right now ? because if you are ... it's so not funny. "
"oh i know i've found the reason, are you doubting me now, evelyn?" to have her in close proximity with him again is something boone did not see coming, as the last time him and evelyn were together, it felt like a one and done, once in a blue moon situation. due to the nature of her divorce, he had to wait, until finally word got to him she was finally single. he had been persistent that whole time he was trying to pursue her. "i'll have this one up and running like brand new, don't worry, miss martinez..." he likes to poke her in this way, reminding her there's no complications for them to stop themselves from doing whatever it is they desire with each other anymore. "i'm not messing with you, trust me..." he walks up to her, head tilted to the side, as his hand lands on her waist. "not in that way, at least..." he whispers, glancing between her lips and her eyes.

āi canāt say there was very much talking involved the last time we saw one another. at least, not about what either of us did for work.ā his tone was laced with amusement and something undeniably teasing as he crossed the room. their encounter had been far from the get to know you kind. a swipe right on an app had led to a brief exchange before meeting up. something that had felt easy, less complicated, leaving little time to dwell on feelings, or his lack thereof, when it came to people and connections.
āwell, that all depends. are you here to stay, or just popping by to brighten up my day?ā it was intentionally flirtatious, as he often walked the fine line between flirting and simple friendliness, inviting boone in, should he wish, while leaving the possibility open ended.
"we didn't have much time to discuss other thingsāmy hands are very much busy with you anyway." boone teases back, eyeing jericho from head to toe as he walks up to him, a grin etched in his expression, memories from the last escapade he had with the dancer still clear in his mind. he wanted to have a little bit of fun that day, and jericho seemed to be a perfect person for it, for it feels like he has read his mind from the get-go. he wasn't one to forget people he's spent his time with, it's just seeing them again in such manner wasn't a usual thing. jericho seems to become one of his few exceptions now.
"well i was planning to do my routine workout, but... this is something new that i can learn..." he trails off, then pauses to eye him up from head to toe, licking his lip as he does so. "are you going to be personally teaching me yourself?"
it all just felt natural for shiva to be in this state with arin, it was as if the weight that she had been carrying alone and kept to herself ever since sinclair has passed disappeared, and it was specifically that pull that younger woman had on her. she still couldn't put to words what it could be. right now, she is focused on relishing whatever this is and not sending herself off the rails thinking all about it.
shiva finds herself leaning close, propping her elbow on the table and resting her cheek against her palm, humming at arin's response. "i may know some people previously from my old line of work who are now settling here in palmview, if there's any type of help i can provide, feel free to tell me anytime, okay, my love?" she gives her a small smile. "sometimes it's good to put a little bit of pressure on these contractors, they get too comfortable when that shouldn't be the case." she lets out a sigh. "hopefully they aren't like the ones i've crossed paths before when i did these inspections?" she asks.
"my mother has made sure i never forget where i came from, and food may have been her way with it." shiva couldn't help but reminisce a little. "i wanted to, arin. like i told you before, i'm not hoping for anything else in exchange. i just... want to be able to help, ease whatever struggles you go through, whether small or big. just... anything, arin. do not hesitate to tell me."
she enjoyed learning more about shiva, bit by bit. the more she learned, the more it made sense how shiva became so caring, and kind. shiva spoke of just wanting to help, expecting nothing in return, and arin didn't know what to say. "shiva, i..." arin trailed off, debating exactly the right words to use, if there were any. in the end, the buzzing of her phone decided for her. the young woman stiffened, her expression one of silent, budding panic as she immediately snatched up her phone. her eyes quickly scanned the screen, darting left to right, reading a text from jae's caregiver: something came up. i have to leave early today.
some tension left her shoulders as she realized her father was fine, but the task of finding a replacement was still before her. her cousin was at work - he always texted before heading into surgery. that just left arin, and there was never a circumstance where her plans would outweight jaeshin saving lives. arin quickly responded to the text: i'm on my way.
she squeezed her eyes shut and sighed. "i'm sorry but... i have to go. it's my dad." she didn't even look at shiva as she pushed out of her chair, the lovely dinner already forgotten as she started towards the door. arin knew shiva would understand, but she wished shiva didn't have to understand. she started shoving her feet into her work boots, bracing against the wall for support. "i'll make this up to you somehow. i'm... really sorry." something about the gentle way shiva looked at her made her feel like she needed to apologize another fifty times, even if that was the opposite of shiva's intention.
it's been... a hell of a week with morgan, running tipsy shores and of course, dealing with a booth getting a bit trashed some nights ago by a group of patrons (which she hasn't told vida yet, not wanting to worry her), and then how she's been spending time with her ex-wife as of late. even after they've divorced a while ago, at the end of the day, vida is still somebody that is near and dear to her heart, and to see the things that somebody she still loves is going through... it's something that's stuck with her. and no drink or hours of dancing would take her mind off of it. perhaps spending some time with clemence and listening to his own struggles would make her not think about hers, even just for now.
"hey, sorry it took me a while, i had one of the booths fixed and seeing if the lights are working." she greets him as she puts down her pornstar martini on the table. "i've kept in mind our drinks and told the server to keep it goingāso no worries about asking for one, unless you'd love to have something else besides your beer?" she asks, before taking a sip of her drink. "don't worry about me, we're here about you tonight, clem. talk to me." she pauses, her posture now so relaxed. "i'm here and i'm listening."

before he could talk himself out of it, mateo found himself standing on booneās front porch, one hand loosely wrapped around the neck of a bottle of wine while the other fidgeted uselessly at his side. heād spent the drive over reminding himself that this wasnāt a date with impossible expectations attached to it. they were just⦠spending time together. that was all. still, his stomach had managed to tie itself into knots somewhere between his apartment and booneās front door. he let out a quiet breath, smoothed an imaginary wrinkle from his shirt, and gave himself one last second to gather whatever courage heād managed to bring with him before lifting his hand to knock. when the door opened, the tension in his shoulders eased almost instinctively. āhey, boone,ā he greeted with a small, warm smile, clearing his throat as he scratched lightly at the back of his neck. he held the bottle of wine out toward him with an awkward little shrug. āi donāt know⦠was always taught it was rude to show up empty-handed.ā a soft laugh escaped him. āw-we donāt have to drink it or anything.ā another nervous chuckle followed as he glanced down at the bottle for a second before meeting booneās eyes again. āsorryā¦ā his smile turned sheepish, almost apologetic. āiām a little nervous.ā
boone could still remember the time he had spent with mateo at the party sometime ago, after mateo's friends introduced him, he couldn't help but make the other blush the whole night, but then it was all that, he didn't really push it further than that with the younger man, not wanting to overwhelm him. he was able to have his number and waited it mateo was going to reach out, yet it has been days so boone had reached out himself. and now... the man is standing on his porch, a bottle of wine in hand. "hello, baby..." he greets him with a grin. "you didn't have to, but i would gladly accept, that's very thoughtful of you, very adorableācome with me." he takes his free hand to hold and leads him inside his place. "again, don't be nervous... again, i don't bite, unless you ask me to. okay?" he stops in his tracks, looking at mateo, waiting for his response. "we can do the things you've mentioned, play with my hair, tell me about yourself a bit more... how about that?"
Kajsa looked so incredibly otherworldly on top of her. Like a goddess ready to conquer the world. She'd certainly managed to conquer Derya in no time. Soft skin, even softer lips, her hair falling so beautifully as she leaned in closer, for just a moment Derya believed in Heaven. "Kajsa," Derya murmured under her breath, clearly overwhelmed with her own emotions as she tried to really interpret them. None of that would matter right now, especially not as Kajsa grabbed her shoulder, scratching, leaning into the touch. "You feel so good."
Without waiting any further, Derya gently pushed her fingers in, rubbing along the g spot, with herself leaning closer to kiss along Kajsa's neck and breasts. She now noticeably blushed, her own moans accompanying every push as she explored Kajsa. "Undress me, please." Derya breathed against Kajsa's lips, "please?" she pushed another finger in.
this kind of vulnerability kajsa has been showing is something that nobody has seen before, except derya. she knew it was where she's safest, where she can put her defenses down, yet it's something she's not ready to say out loud, yet, as she wants to be the safe place she can land on, be herself the most with no pressure. she wants to be there for the woman as much as she could. so she focuses on the now, melting at every touch she gives her, shivers running down her spine at the way the model says her name, touching her and holding her, taking everything she's willing to give.
kajsa lets out a gasp, followed by a moan at the feeling of her fingers filling her up, shivers running down her spine, thighs trembling as she grips on her shoulders harder. "derya..." she moans against her lips, not being able to resist but roll her hips a little with how her name sounded as it's uttered by the other. with shaky hands, she does her best discarding her dress, tugging it off of her, and discarding it to the floor along with her other clothes.
DOES HE EXPECT HER next movements? no, but oh my, does he feel an unexpected heat crawling up his spine. he's always had a thing for powerful, confident women with a certain security about themselves. " yes ma'am. " he responds lowly, hand reaching backwards to feel for the lock and pushing it inwards. lord, this is the kind of woman that many men believe just might be the death of them, but there's something in his skin that feels alive. and yet, all he can do is watch as she moves, fingers caressing the flesh of his jawline with a certain tenderness that somehow manages to say so much. a cocky smile curls across his face, still maintaining the same eye contact as he did before. " you don't leave any stone unturned, do you? " he murmurs. he'll let the tension ring out in the air a little while longer. the buildup, let it seep into them both.
we should, break this tension first, shouldn't we, nico?
there it is. it's statement that causes his smile to grow even further. even if she likes to find herself in control -- there's openings in the dance, a hand for him to take.
he leans a bit closer, of course, fingers slowly tracing under her jawline to slowly make him look up at her. lord, she's making it so difficult to maintain his composure, but he's sure it's exactly what she wants. " is someone forgetting about her coffee? " he hums, toying with the buttons of his shirt before slowly beginning to open it. now, it hands over his shoulders -- loosely open. his nose soon grazes her own for a moment, letting the breath hang between them. " as for the tension... we won't be getting any work done once we do. i'm sure of it. "
his response to her command brings a smirk to sovaia's expression, that she couldn't resist but comment about it. "mhmm, such a good boy, i'll be keeping that in mind." she isn't really going to drag this game for long with nico, as part of her knew it had been going on for a while the second they've both matched on tinder. at first she was skeptic of him, yet that one conversation changed her mind about him. especially when he's this close, as she could basically feel his breath hitting her skin. "never. i love looking into details..." she murmurs, cupping his cheek with one hand, finding herself humming at the roughness of his facial hair against her palm. "even at the most miniscule of details... something so small can bring much impact to an artwork, you know?"
