    connie wasn’t a stranger to creatures lingering or shadows threatening  ,  but she couldn’t tell it in someone else’s mind.    with a head going beyond unusual  ,  she could not still read other’s heads.    the person sitting beside her on the opposite side of the bench seemed just like any other person that passed by the woman pristine and  well  -  kept  on the bench.    the night progressed in its artful drawing in the sky.    not every night sky was the same which is why connie found great pleasure in sitting out past the bed times of the children in the park to see what pick it would cast.    tonight’s a rather breath taking one.    but not in the way most would assume.

casually, very casually, she'll sidle up behind him, prodding his shoulder. you know what you do when baristas accidentally make you two drinks? you share. "hey, i got extra- you a fan of strawberry?"

           Touch is, for lack of better phrase, very touch and go for Sam. Despite how they’d made up after their ordeal all those years ago, Sam and his mum took years together to work on rebuilding their trust— in others and each other. A chill rockets down his spine and Sam slides easily away from the finger, a reminder that his trust has not quite recovered.

            Almost always he looks wary, but his eyes are narrower and his jaw is a little tighter when he angles his body her way. Does this not fit into the don’t take food from strangers adage? “I like it, yeah,” he says slowly. “Why don’t you want it?”
