HOW TO MAKE SIMPLE FILIPINO STYLE KIMCHI (BUDGET 200 PESOS ONLY)
I'll teach you the simplest way on how to make Filipino Style Kimchi (your own version)
Kimchi is a very well known dish sa Korea, actually kaya ako nahilig bukod sa madami s'yang good benefits ay dahil narin sa pagiging certified Kdrama addict ko. Siyempre out of curiosity habang nanunuod ka ng mga kdramas, kahit sa variety shows hindi mawawala yung kimchi. Mapapaisip ka kung ano ba lasa nun? The first time I've tried eating kimchi halos bumaliktad sikmura ko, unfamiliar kase yung lasa and the authentic kimchi has that strong flavor and scent.
Sabi nga ng ibang kakilala ko feeling koreana daw ako, like duhhh HAHA Koreans lang ba may rights kumain or mag try ng kimchi. 😂
So di na natin papahabain masyado. As for making your own version of kimchi you can add and deduct ingredients based on your panlasa. The usual and authentic kimchi ay nilalagyan ng fish sauce, or minsan raw small shrimp then they have this chilli called "gochugaru" or korean chilli powder, pwede kayo makabili online at sa mga supermarket mas advisable na eto ang gamitin rather than the usual chilli powder na mabibili natin sa palengke kase isa eto sa main ingredient ng kimchi kahit puro alternative nalang yung ibang ingredients huwag lang yung korean chilli powder. Nilalagyan din nila ng glutinous paste yung mixture ng sauce para mas lalong lumapot pero you can add pwede ding hindi.
What we need:
Estimated ko lang ito 4-5 big sizes of Nappa Cabbage or Baguio Petsay sa atin ay makakagawa na ng 1kilo-up na kimchi
*4-5 big sizes of Baguio Petsay
*Young radish (this is optional if tight ka sa budget pero mas masarap if meron)
*Onion leaves
🥬FOR KIMCHI PASTE🥬
*1 big ginger
*4-5 pcs ng sibuyas mas maganda if yung white na malalaki yung gagamitin
*1-2 big sizes ng bawang
*lemon or calamansi (tantyahin lang po)
*2-3 tablespoon ng Gochugaru (korean chilli powder) or pwede mo mas damihan basta kaya mo yung anghang
*Fish sauce/patis (optional pwede mong lagyan pwede ding hindi depende sa panglasa mo)
PROCEDURE:
1. I cut yung bottom part ng mga cabbage para maalis yung parang matigas sa ilalim, then hatiin sa gitna
6. After mo mabanlawan ng mabuti, pwede mo na syang i cut into bite size (as per other option kung buo lang yung cabbage mo no need to cut tsaka mo nalang sya ika-cut pag iko-consume mo na)
7. Time to make the kimchi paste. Eto very easy lang pagsama-samahin mo lang yung bawang, sibuyas, luya (raw small shrimp paste kung lalagyan mo) yung chilli powder sinama ko na din para ma-blend ng even. You can add small amount of water plus yung juice ng lemon or calamansi (tantyahin mo lang ulit) then i-blender mo lang hanggang makagawa ka ng parang paste.
9. After magawa pwede nyo na sya ilipat sa mga jars or Tupperwares and pwede na din i-consume.
10. But for much better taste after 2-3 days fermented na yung kimchi mas malasa na sya, at lalo syang lalasa habang tumatagal.
*kimchi pancake (you can add tuna para mas malasa)
*fried rice with kimchi
*fried tofu with kimchi
*instant noodles with kimchi plus egg add leftover carrots or anything you like
And a lot more. You can search po sa youtube. ❤️
Hope you enjoy and learn while reading, mga ka Fixy! 🥬🤤
How to Be Organized
How to Be Organized
Most people do not like being disorganized. Organization takes time, but when you get the hang of it, life becomes much easier. To be truly organized, you need to organize your space and organize your time, making sure you keep track of all your appointments and commitments. You can also work in an organized way so you are more efficient and get more things done in a shorter period of time. Being organized can reduce stress and anxiety, making you feel in control of your day to day activities.
1. Organizing Your Time
Put important dates in a calendar. Get a calendar and hang it in a spot where you can look at it every day, such as in your kitchen, by your bed, or in your home office. You can also put a calendar on your computer desktop or use the calendar app on your smartphone. Put all important dates in the calendar, such as due dates, appointments, and meetings. Keep it updated regularly to help you organize your time.
Make it habit to check the calendar daily, such as first thing in the morning or before you go to bed at night.
Color code items in your calendar by priority. For example, you may highlight important dates in red and less important dates in yellow.
If you are using a calendar app on your phone, you can set reminders a few days or a few hours in advance so you don’t forget an important date. You can also use other organizing apps on your phone.
Use a day planner. A day planner is another great way to keep your time organized. It will break down the week by day, allowing you to put in appointments or meetings for each day. It is especially useful if you have a lot of commitments throughout the day. Write down all of your commitments by hour in the day planner. Check the planner at the start of your day so you know what you have scheduled and can stay organized.
For example, you may write down a meeting in the morning, a phone call with a client in the afternoon, and a deadline in the evening.
Keep a to-do list. To stay organized, make a to-do list. You may have one list for short term things you have to do and one list for long term things you have to do. Write the to-do list on a whiteboard and keep it somewhere you can see it, such as in your kitchen or your bedroom. Cross out items as you complete them so you feel productive and motivated to tackle more items on the list.
If you’d prefer to keep the to-do list on your computer, make a spreadsheet and use it as a to-do list. Keep the spreadsheet on your desktop so you can look at it and cross off items as you complete them.
For example, you may have a list of short term to-do items like complete assignment for tomorrow, clean room, and order supplies for the week. You can then keep a list of long term to-do items.
Reward yourself for staying organized. To help motivate you to stay organized, use a rewards system. You may treat yourself to a baked good or lunch at your favorite restaurant when you check an item off your to-do list. Or you may give yourself a 5 minute break and go for a walk if you complete the items in your calendar or day planner early.
You can also reward yourself with fun or relaxing activities, such as playing your favorite video game or watching your favorite show. Only give yourself these rewards when you have completed the necessary tasks for the day.
2. Working in an Organized Way
Make a daily schedule. To stay organized while you work, create a daily schedule of tasks. List each task by importance and check them off as you complete them. Put the most important tasks first, followed by the least important. Doing this can help you feel organized on a daily basis, whether you are at work or at school.
For example, you may list tasks like completing an assignment or preparing lunch. Then, you may schedule in time to read emails or catch up on the news, followed by other tasks in the afternoon and evening
Schedule breaks throughout your work day. Though it is important that you get all of the necessary tasks done, you should also set aside time for short breaks. You may schedule in 5 minute breaks after every few tasks so you can stretch your legs, go for a short walk, or do a few light exercises. You may also use the breaks to get coffee or a snack.
Having breaks will ensure you do not get too worn out or overworked, especially if you have a lot of tasks to complete for the day. If you are really busy, try to schedule at least one break in the day so you are not working too many hours straight.
Multitask. Another way you can work in a more organized way is to multitask, where you switch between several tasks at once. Multitasking can allow you to get multiple things done within a short period of time. It can also help you be more organized, as you will feel less overwhelmed or stressed about the things you need to get done if you complete them all at once.
For example, you may put the kettle on for your tea or coffee and fold towels, send emails, and load the washing machine while the water boils. Or you may set a download on your computer at work and do paperwork or other tasks in the office while you wait for the download to finish.
Just keep in mind that some studies have shown that multitasking may diminish one's ability to focus on one thing at a time.
Delegate tasks to others, when needed. If you have a lot to get done, try to delegate to others when you can. You may delegate tasks to other family members in your home. Delegating tasks can make your day run more efficiently and allow you to stay organized.
For example, you may delegate chores in your home to your children or your family members so you are not the only one cleaning and maintaining the house. Or you may delegate tasks to coworkers who have free time or an hour to spare so you can ensure all your tasks get done for the day.
3. Organizing Your Space
Organize your bedroom. To keep your space organized, start by focusing on your bedroom. Go through each item in your bedroom and determine if you can get rid of any items you no longer use or need. Reduce clutter in your bedroom and clean it out so you feel more organized, and keep only items you use in your bedroom.
For example, you may have a bookshelf in your bedroom that is stuffed full of books. Go through your books and put ones you no longer read or need in a box. Try to get rid of any books you honestly do not think you will read again. You can then donate the books in the box to charity so they are out of your room.
Keep your home office and your desk organized. If you have a work space in your home, tackle this area and keep it organized. Go through all papers and bills on your desk. Put these items in folders or in a filing cabinet. Get rid of any papers you do not need to keep as hard copies. Put office supplies in drawers or cabinets. Place pens and pencils in a pen holder.
You should also position items that you use often closer to your workspace so they are within reach. For example, if you often use a stapler in your office, keep it in the top drawer of your desk so it’s within reach and you know where it is at all times.
Organize electrical cords in your office by using zip ties to keep cords wrapped. This will prevent them from getting tangled and messy.
Organize your kitchen. Your kitchen will likely be one of the most used areas in your home. Keep it organized by going through each item and donating any items you no longer use. Throw away broken kitchen tools or old utensils. Clear out these items and then assess how to organize the items you are keeping.
Place related items together in drawers or cupboards. For example, store all coffee mugs together or all utensils together.
Keep your kitchen counters free of items when possible and only leave out items you use often, such as a large cutting board or a kettle.
Some items need layout or ordering rather than just grouping. Frequently used unique items, like spices, should be kept handy and accessible, such as on a spice rack on the counter.
Perishable items, like food, should be consumed on a first-in, first-out basis. Load stacks of perishable items, such as canned food, starting with the oldest first in a cupboard or a pantry.
Keep your closet organized. Another spot that tends to get messy is your closet, especially if you have a lot of clothing. Organize your closet by going through your clothing and getting rid of any items you no longer wear. Often, if you haven’t worn the item in one year, you can get rid of it. Group items of clothing together, such as all jeans on one shelf or all jackets hung in the same spot in your closet.
Rotate items that are within reach in your closet so you wear different items and get the most out of each item.
Keep all shoes together, preferably on a shoe rack or in labeled bins. This way you can view each pair and know exactly what you have in your closet.
If you’re having trouble keeping your closet tidy, get a closet organizer to help you keep your items sorted (optional because you can do it yourself just be patient)
Clean your space regularly. To maintain your organization, do regular cleanings of your bedroom, your home office, your desk, your kitchen, and your closet. Designate one day a week as cleaning day and do a good clean of these spots. This will ensure that you reduce any clutter that accumulates in each area of your home. It will also make it easier for you to maintain the system you have in place in each area to keep them organized.
You can also clean each space periodically throughout the week to maintain them. Do a light dusting of your home once a day. Throw out any papers or bills you don’t need right away, rather than let them clutter up your space.
It is good to clean your place every week. If your place becomes untidy very quickly, then you can clean more frequently.
Our paksiw ended up like this 😂 cooked this last night put it in the ref (not in the freezer) and this is what it looked like after 12 hours 😂
I can do this, we must keep on going self. ☺
Habits of Really Organized People
Really organized people are not born organized, they have to cultivate healthy habits, which then help them to stay organized.
So even if you think you are a very disorganized person, you can learn to be organized. From planning things, jotting things down, to ditching the unnecessary and organizing things that matter, you will become an organized person as long as you’re willing to learn and practice.
Here are the essential habits on how to organize your life:
1. Write things down
We all know someone that remembers every birthday and sends cards for every holiday. It’s not magic and they don’t use memorization. Trying to remember things will not help you to stay organized. You should try writing things down.
A pen and some paper is our way of remembering things externally, and it’s much more permanent.
You will only further complicate your life by trying to contain important dates and reminders in your head. Write down everything: shopping lists for groceries, holiday gifts, home decor, and important dates like meetings and birthdays.
As an experiment, try writing down people’s names shortly after you meet them (when they’re not looking). I’ll bet you remember a lot more names that way.
2. Make schedules and deadlines
Organized people don’t waste time. They recognize that keeping things organized goes hand-in-hand with staying productive. They make and keep schedules for the day and week. They make deadlines and set goals. And most importantly, they and stick to them!
Similarly, by living a cluttered lifestyle, you will not have the time or space to make your deadlines or achieve your goals.
As an experiment, look at your bucket list or make one. Write down the things you want to achieve this year or in your life. Then write down what you need to do to achieve them.
Life is short, make sure you’re doing what matters to you most. If you need a little help on that,
3. Don’t procrastinate
The longer you wait to do something, the more difficult it will be to get it done. If you want your life to be less stressful and less demanding, then organize as soon as you can. Putting in the effort to get things done as soon as possible will lift the weight off of you from doing it later.
As an experiment, think of one thing that you should organize in your life. Write it down. Then write down when you can do it and what you need to get it done. If you can get it done right now, then go do it!
4. Give everything a home
It’s easy to get lost if you don’t have a home. Keeping your life organized means keeping your things in their proper places. Organized people keep order by storing things properly and by labeling storage spaces.
Make easy-to-access storage spaces for things you use all the time, and don’t let your storage spaces get cluttered. Be creative about finding places for things. In addition, as a BIG NO: never label a storage space as “miscellaneous!”
As an experiment, choose one place in your home that you can re-organize. If there are scattered items, then group them together. Once you’ve sorted everything, find or make a “home” for similar items, label the “homes,” and put them in the proper places.
For example, a cup holder for your pens and pencils should go in an easily accessible place, but the rarely used craft materials can be stored out of sight.
5. Declutter regularly
Find time each week to organize. Highly organized people make sure they find time every week or more to organize their things. Stuff does not stay organized on its own; it needs to be reorganized continuously and consistently.
As an experiment, look at your schedule and find a time to organize, then do it.
6. Keep only what you need
More stuff means more clutter. People who live organized lives only keep what they need and what they really really want. Having fewer things also means that you enjoy those things more and feel better about using everything you own, rather than letting half of what you own collect dust.
Have you ever felt like you don’t have the space to keep all the stuff you own? Instead of renting a storage unit or buying a larger home or adding new storage boxes, get rid of some things.
As an experiment, write down the number of things you think you actually need. Then, write a list of all the things that you own. If the number of things you actually own exceeds your ideal need list, then it’s time to organize.
7. Know where to discard items
Do whatever you can to get rid of stuff. Less stuff means less clutter.
Donate it to those who might need it more. Sell it online as pre loved items. Find a place to get rid of your things.
As an experiment, choose one space in your house to purge. Go through shelves, drawers and boxes. Everything you find that you don’t need, set aside. Make a pile of things to maybe keep, which you can go through later, and a pile of things to discard now. Then find a way to kick those things out the door immediately.
8. Stay away from bargains
You have removed the things you don’t need. Will you replace them when you see something on sale?
Instead of bargain shopping without planning ahead, write down down exactly what you need and buy only those items. Organized people do not give in to false advertising. Items on sale will only produce more clutter.
As an experiment, go to a shopping mall with no money. Just look at all the things on sale that you wish you could buy if you had brought your wallet or purse.
If you find nothing, then good for you. If you made a list, then keep that list somewhere and look at it a month from now. If you still want it, then it’s safe to buy.
9. Delegate responsibilities
A really organized life is not overfilled with responsibilities, meetings and deadlines. In fact, it has less because things that create stress have been slowly organized out.
As an experiment, look at your to-do list or make one. Go through the list and find one task that you can remove from your list or give to someone else. Now feel the stress of having to do it fall away.
10. Work hard
Put in a little effort. Actually, put in a lot of effort when necessary.
Once you have delegated responsibilities and made a schedule, then you can organize what you have to do and when you can do it.
Staying organized is not all a breeze. It requires that you work hard with recognition that when you work harder, you can enjoy your clutter-free home life later.
Work harder when you feel like giving up today.
What’s more important is to remember what you work for is meaningful to you.
Learn from these organizational tips, make them your habits one by one. Slowly you’ll become a lot more organized and productive!
For those who have their own space, or home you can simply start it right now, as for me I do not have my own space for now but if I am given a chance to have my own space too, I would probably start de-cluttering right away.
Hello please support 💗😍
I've been wanting to do this ever since. I wanted to write more about myself and my hobbies as well. ✍️
Maybe some of you might think that my favorite hobby is quite boring, but it's not. I'm not a perfectionist but I do want to have a clean surrounding, as well as a clean home. Lately I'm into organizing stuffs (not an expert though so please don't bash me) 😁
As what I have said earlier, I'm quite fond of neat and clean surroundings, but lately I've discovered that being clean is different from being organized (cleaning is different from organizing)
1. The first step to organizing is emptying
Have a separate box (saw this on one of the variety show that I'm watching) once you start on de-cluttering 1 box for needs and 1 box for desires (things that might fall for desire box are those things that you cannot literally let go yet you have to decide for it later)
Here's an easy tip if you have a small space yet you want to save all of those things that has a sentimental value for you (may not apply to all but this one is what I have been doing lately and if I have my own space I would definitely do this too)
🍃 Tip of may bagay kang hindi ma-i-let go dahil may sentimental value or something pero hindi mo naman halos nagagamit take a photo of it then print and file it and keep the file as a remembrance, later on you can give those if something na usable pa eto sa iba; hindi po sya itatapon literally ididispose mo lang for others na baka mas need yung bagay na yun.
🍃 Next is re-grouping. Find the purpose of each item in your place, check if those cabinets, boxes etc are all using it's purpose, baka merong hindi naman pala dapat doon or hindi yun ang gamit, also if you have lots of room in your house be sure that you're using the rooms for it's own purpose. Make use of the space. You can watch on YouTube para mas maintindihan po ninyo.
🍃Last tip for today (says 5 on the photo though will be posting the others on my next blog), LIVE BASED ON YOUR NEEDS NOT ON YOUR DESIRES. This is one of the main reason kung bakit minsan ang crowded ng bahay kahit maluwag naman talaga dapat, because we keep on getting, storing or buying things na pansamantala lang naman natin nagustuhan, magugustuhan or gagamitin.
