BT21 Winner: [BT21-029] Medusamon, utsuBON!
Red heavy winners in this set, but they're the ones that most struck me. I believe this Medusamon alt art was originally a Korean (?) only release that then got released as a dash pack card after. I like its unique styling, especially the cool pink gradient on half of her hair. Also godzilla is there. I bet she's a big fan of it.

BT22 Winner: [BT22-084] Nokia Shiramine, Tonamikanji
I need you to be so niceies to me right now and also admire my self control in not putting the Omnimon alt art with her in it in the honourable mentions. It was BT22 that got me back into the Digimon Card Game, because I love Cyber Sleuth sooooo much. And Nokia's my #1 favourite digi-character, she's the winner, it's her.
This card is my white whale, an SP art is extremely rare and this is a high demand card, this thing is EXPENSIVE. But god I'd love to have one one day. I don't even play Omnimon, but I'd just want the card. One day, maybe.
I bet it looks gorgeous in person, but even without you can see a boldness in lines that's striking, all the SP Tamer arts are gorgeous. The colour balance is really appealing, I just like it.

BT23 Winner: [BT23-052] Consulmon, NIJIMAARC
Even I'm surprised by this one but yeah, it is Consulmon for BT23. Maybe it's because I'm having a delightful time playing one as an NPC in Digimon Tabletop, but I just really love looking at this art. It seems so delighted, the colours are so nice, the presence of a high tech city backdrop, there's just so much I like here. Seems like NIJIMAARC is a relatively recent addition to the digica art rotation, but I like their style very much, I hope to see lots more!

BT24 Winner: [BT24-022] Ikkakumon, NAOKI AKAMINE
I have a strong bias towards water-themeing so this gorgeously vibrant coral, Ikkkumon centered in white, and glowing blue outlined fish just really does it for me. The light rays from above, just this card is beautiful. I love it.

That's the last Booster set of Block 5. I have 3 EX sets left, three Starter Decks, the Block Five Promos, and the AD1 set - whose cards are still being published right now. AD1 releases at the end of March and I'm not sure I'll have the patience to wait that long, so I'll probably cut it off when I get to it and if there's a release of a striking card after that fact that really gets my attention, I'll post about it.
Once the individual winners have been chosen, then we get to the tournament part, where I match them up against each other. Truth be told I have a strong suspicion of who the ultimate champion will be, but we'll find out for sure when we get there.

of course not. In an ideal world, a kids would have multiple adults other than their parents they could look to for care, but I recognize that that will never be a reality for every single child. So: youth shelters, if they have nowhere else to go. There should be clean, warm shelters where anyone under 18 can stay for as long as they need, no questions asked. (And of course shelters that arenât just for kids, but weâre talking about youth rights right now)
âBut Rue,â I hear you say, âwhat if some moody teenager runs away after an argument?â
First of all, Iâd rather a thousand moody teenagers run away than one abused child be trapped. Second, so what if one does? A kid needs time away from their parents, so they leave. The vast majority of them will get some time to cool down and then go back home, and if they donât want to go back, period? Then nine times out of ten, they have a good reason. (Because yes, as hard as it is for you to believe, kids are humans who have common sense.)
âOkay, but what about the one time out of ten the kid doesnât have a good reason?â
Then the kid doesnât have a good reason. It doesnât change anything. If someone wants to break up with their partner because of something stupid, you wouldnât say they legally shouldnât be able to. (And if you would, then youâre just a bad person.) No one should have to be in a relationship, romantic or otherwise, that they donât want to be in.
Listening to Andy Weir talk about eridians is so funny because fans are always talking about Rocky and Adrian as these âsoftâ adorable aliens but Weir wonât ever let us forget that their species are apex predators on their planet. Not like humans who became apex predators by inventing weapons, but natural top of the foodchain like lions or polar bears. So far I havenât found an interview where Weir explains who ate eridians in the ancient past that caused them to watch over each other while they slept; another predator species or rivaling eridians.
Grace is joking around with a selectively violent creature that can rip his soft squishy body apart in an instant!
But itâs also a lot of fun to hear Weir talk about all the stuff he wants to include in a possible sequel, like the fact that eridians can have several conversations at once even with the same eridian. He imagine Rocky and Adrian bickering in one conversation while having a nice conversation at the same time that slowly turns into a fight and all of a sudden theyâre yelling at each other in two conversations about different things.
He also says they have terrible spacial memory because they can see everything around them all the time thanks to their echo location so to them itâs crazy that humans can only see in one direction but still remember whatâs behind them and even what the last room they were in looks like. Apparently eridians mostly just remember that the room exists and that it has the computer in it but if you asked them where the computer is placed in the room theyâll struggle to give a precise answer.
And Rocky got scared when Grace hugged him because eridians donât have a concept of expressing affection with physical touch. To them itâs only neutral or violent because thanks to their hard shell they canât really feel much. They only use it to move each other around or to break through their preyâs shell to get to the soft insides. So in their inter-species friendship only Grace would feel any desire to touch Rocky. It makes it very cute that Rocky joins in on Graceâs hugging ritual. Itâs purely for Graceâs sake.
There's characters I think are fun to read as trans masc for my own enjoyment, characters I enjoy building a case *to* read as trans masc, one or two rare characters I genuinely think can be theorized to *be* canonically trans masc
And then there's Heinz Doofenshmirtz, who i do not believe was ever at any point intended to be canonically a trans man, but somehow the evidence is against him.

Oh no no Dr. Doofenshmirtz goes the other route. He makes his dysphoria everyone ELSES problem.
"Voice-Inator", purpose, "makes everyone elses voice higher, making his seem lower by comparison". Honestly incredible. It's trans AND its evil

VERY NEXT EPISODE, Ugly-inator, expressly because of self image problems. Which should be noted he later does again with a handsome setting, which makes him typically masculine-handsome temporarily.
Ballgown-inator, EXPRESSLY to make himself "look manlier in comparison". Really can't state enough he is making his dysphoria EVERYONE'S problem, in true mad scientist fashion.

Also when he gets turned into a were-cow he has udders. I'm not even hitting backstories this is just off the phineas and ferb wiki entry for -inators.
Okay found the moustache-inator, which ironically enough he's just using because he thinks it's funny to put giant mustaches on people, but the "resents not growing facial hair" tells me this is definitely at least PARTIALLY personal use, cmon now.
And that's the one I was finding so I'm not checking the rest of the -inators, and again this isn't even getting into his.
