"came back wrong" what about Came Back Afraid. You used to be brave. Too brave maybe, defying the odds at every turn, a fighter, cocky, playing with fire, first to throw yourself at the enemy. Until one day it all caught up to you. You came back, somehow, but now you know all too intimately how it feels to lose, to die, to be destroyed. Now you flinch and freeze and cower at the slightest provocation. Who even are you now if you can't be brave? The grave may have let you go, but the mortal fear still grips you tighter than ever.

Random au idea where the dragon fire that powers Fire Spirit cookie acts a lot like phoenix fire and after a crumbling defeat at the hands of evil forces, Fire Spirit is alive again. Though it took him time to reform.

The world of Earth bread is very different.

Fire Spirit is currently up against forces more powerful then him alone, no one on his side when he is reborn at the moment, and trying to navigate a world that he no longer knows anything about.

To make things worse, his alive again status is found out by the wrong cookies. And after a couple of more crumblings (both Fire Spirit having attempted to take on a beast cookie out of anger and not thinking things through.) it becomes clear to everyone that he can't be crumbled.

So if he is gotten a hold of by the wrong cookies, being locked away would be his fate.

"I can't believe humans would hunt the thylacine to extinction, humans are fundamentally evil" Hey, did you know that extinction was long thought to be impossible, and within 50 years of humans realizing that extinction via overhunting was a possibility it practically stopped happening? Did you know that humans are so desperate to prevent more losses that they're funneling millions of collective hours and billions of euros into helping other species? Hours and euros that could be spent on humans, and species on whom humanity's own survival does not depend? Did you know that due to an accidental introduction of rats, the Lord Howe Island stick insect population was brought down to 24 individuals and now there are tens of thousands of them?

This bug. This bug that, to most humans, is utterly useless, relatively gross, and completely foreign. Humans saved it because humans do not want to cause another extinction ever again if they can avoid it.

Meet my FireWind fankids!

First is Sundrop, he's an energetic sweetheart. My idea for him was a living flame who's fire grows flowers.

And next is Black Lotus, also a sweetheart and shy. His dough is made from the darkness inside both Wind Archer(side effects of Night Raven). A little from Fire Spirit too, but mostly Windy 'cause my brain like the idea of "what if they had a baby that kinda looked like Night Raven." (I'll probably make a concept for an ash one someday). Also, the bird's name is Umbra, she a gift from Wind Archer and she help guide Black Lotus around.

fire spirit should have a cool character arc about making his power his own and leaving behind his reliance on the red dragon's power. btw. i just thiunk they're missing an opportunity here

like i have such a specific idea for it. in my mind it'd go like this;

red dragons bead's power starts mysteriously draining. orb is turning grey instead of the blazing red it usually is. fire obviously goes 'what?? the fuck??'. enter plot line of fire spirit trying to Solve this. completely fail at several attempts of trying to solve this. orb starts cracking, which leads to him cracking and slowly crumbling With the orb. bring into final big scene of the character arc; orb shatters during a pivotal moment. mid-combat, perhaps. leave it for a minute or two to convince the audience he's fucking dead. suddenly a few sparks, then a roaring flame- and he's back, notably not holding his staff :) power is linked in to flame itself rather than just the bead, and he's fully stand-alone w/o any need for the red dragons power.

do you guys see my vision. do you see it. i'd also have part of the arc be forcing fire spirit to face his past and accept it as part of who he IS, not just who he WAS. do you see my vision

Wind archer coos like a dove when content. He denies this adamantly. But he does. (Btw my design for wind archer looks like this so it makes infinitely more sense)
