Nell Little Maybe one day

they keep throughing hints that she is going to be another batgirl. (New Earth)

We first met her on a train with her mother. After that she just kept popping up more and more.

Like Stephanie, Nell has a bright personality and a similar determination. Clearly, Stephanie must see these qualities too, as it's enough for her to hallucinate a future where Nell is her Batgirl.

DC Bombshells: set in the 1940s don't want to spoil but it was fun read the whole series.

I love the idea of Stephcass training the future generation of girl vigilantes in Gotham like Tiffany Fox, Nell Little and Maps Mizoguchi. Could yod draw the five of them in costumes?

I MIGHT do full shading on this later but I got impatient about posting lol. Anyway love that concept! I havent read Future State (yet) but I do believe in the League of Batgirls +one Robin.

I just finished that doodle lol but I always think about that scene when that cop stops duke all because of his shoes. Always has me feeling a type a a way ya know, like sure they're robin colors but like they could of been his day today shoes 🫤 Smells fishy to me, I added little Rs on them lol

Anyway I don't draw dick much and this is what I do to him lol I just want duke to have some kind of beef with him. I like to think given Duke's weapons and style of fighting dick is one of the key factors.

Why did I write something based on Duke not getting along with cops and dick being a cop himself lolz

DUKE AND THE POLICE DID NOT GET ALONG That was something Dick had known for a while now. Ever since he first heard about Duke jumping out of a moving police car—(which, to be fair, wasn’t his fault, something Dick had learned much later during a late-night vent session over cheap Redbox rentals and stale Cheez-Its stolen from Tim’s snack stash after one of Duke’s morning patrols).

It wasn’t just distrust. It was something deeper, something that simmered in Duke like a low-burning campfire, waiting for the right gust of wind to become an inferno. The kind of anger that didn’t fade even with time, even with distance, even after the practiced therapy Bruce made them all sit through.

Dick understood. He really did.

But understanding didn’t make it any easier to see his little brother sitting in a cold, metal interrogation room, hands cuffed in front of him, his face carefully blank. Not defiant. Not smug. Just… neutral. Devoid of the usual warmth, the mischievous smirk, the spark of something alive in his eyes.

It was the posture that got to Dick the most. The way Duke sat, back straight, shoulders squared, his hands resting palm-up on the table in a way that was too practiced, too deliberate. A silent message: I’m not a threat. I know how this works.

Like he’d been here before. Like he expected it.

And that? That broke Dick’s heart.

Black History Month is coming and Duke Thomas is preparing to be a menace. He can get away with anything no matter the time of year, but February is when he gets to be ridiculous and nobody will call him on it.

“Your patrol report is late, Signal.”

“You want me to fill out the white man’s paperwork? In this holy month of melanin?”

Batman just blinks and turns back to the computer. “Understood, my apologies.”

Tim wants to choose what they’re ordering for dinner.

“It’s my turn to pick and I want Thai.”

Duke doesn’t even object to Thai, but this is his time to shine. Well, shine more than usual. “Why am I being subjected to the white man’s will?”

Tim nods and holds out his phone. “I apologize for my outburst, king.”

Duke orders Thai anyway.

Damian has an understanding of history akin to someone with advanced degrees in the subject, so he wants Duke to feel celebrated and honored every February. He’s also a gremlin and has Duke’s blessing to engage in some nonsense.

“I will not be participating in these…” Damian trails off and glances across the table at Duke, who gives him a thumbs up and an encouraging nod. “…these white man activities. They are oppressive and offensive to my ancestors.”

Dick and Jason exchange amused looks while Bruce’s face takes on a confused expression.

“You’re white,” the older man retorts. “Half, anyway. So half of your ancestors are the white man. And cleaning up after the dog you asked for isn’t exactly—“

“Sounds oppressive,” Jason interjects. “Not a good look, Bruce.”

“Not a good look,” Dick agrees.

Bruce sighs and leaves the table to clean up Ace’s mess in the foyer.

“Well done,” Duke laughs. “The ancestors will be pleased.”
