I really enjoyed drawing skeksa the Mariner as a gryphon and got inspired to draw two of my skeksis oc's as gryphons as well. Skekset the Messenger and SkekNit the Warden. They go floof!

The glorious golden-garbed Ritual Master isn’t necessarily my favorite skeksis (that will be skektek forever.)but I do love him. Not really sure why. Very possibly for the vocal and puppeteer performances alike. Or his creepy dark presence on scene. It can’t possibly be his design, I thought I liked that but then I had to draw it and I like to torment myself over little details and he just has so. Many. Little. Details. WHY DO I DO THIS TO MYSELF.

Anyways...not sure really. I just like him. And hate him. Like to hate him.

I legit cannot put into words how happy I am with how this came out. When I was in school, we would do lots of sketches on canson paper, because it acted as the middle color and made you focus on the highlights and shadows more, and even though I was working digitally now, I wanted to emulate that. I think I succeeded.

One of my UrRu/Mystic oc's, UrSkit the Minstrel and counterpart of SkekSet the Messenger.

-He plays the lute, lyre and triangle

-wears wooden wind chimes in his hair that he plays by moving his head and neck in rythym with his music

-good friends with UrSol the Chanter and they often sing and play music together

-creates music to mimic nature and the song of Thra

-helped teach Jen how to play the firca

-was too weak to leave the valley of mystics and was near death by the time the crystal was healed, his and his skeksis half were rejuvenated but never returned to their Urskek form

I've been in an artistic and emotional rut as of late so I did some skek doodles a few days ago. No characters or oc's in particular just something I drew absentmindedly. I decided to color them the next day.
