Ladies and gentlemen, we are pleased to announce our next art show!!

It will be be held from October 3rd until November 2nd. Submission info is as follows:

Space is limited, so we'll only be accepting ONE piece per artist, so bring your best!

Please include dimensions, and artist info

Here's what's happening so far:

WAC SWAP thrift and barter corner 

A special photography series showcasing the local music scene provided by Loretta Canham of Shutterpunk Photography 

Various local artist ran workshops including leather working, jewelry making, and artist technique

Audio and visual equipment available for recording during open hours, plus live music on a weekly basis 

A pre open mic hang out and presentation practice space

We will be accepting donations strictly for all artists selected to show. At the end of the month, all donations will be dispersed

An artist raffle per donation

Various discussion panels

The show is free to enter, and we are uncensored, and without themes!! As it is October, bring the spirit of the season with you and get creative!

WE WILL BE ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS FROM NOW UNTIL SEPTEMBER 24th. If chosen, you will be alerted by E-Mail, or via the phone, so make sure that you include your contact info with every submission!!

The opening reception will contain live music live music, and refreshments will be provided. The opening is on October 3rd from 2-8 p.m.

We have an opportunity to support an absolute master of his craft this week. Dr. Eddie Edwards will be delivering some of his sonic magic this weekend. 

A jazz saxophonist virtuoso, the good Doctor has been spotted all around the AV bringing his special brand of new school/ old school phunk to as many open ears as possible. 

Music will be going from 6-9, be sure to come by.

Open mic brought some amazing acts last night. The ladies of the Daughters of the Slik Rose brought flair from the east with their belly dancing. The New Mexican came in with a surprise set, bringing tunes straight from the side of the road with his dusty voice, bringing the moonlight and wind with his brand of country blues. Darren Abbot came through with some new beats and fresh rhymes that brought the groove to the people.

We are constantly in awe of the eclectic bunch of talent our town has. Thank you to each and every artist who had the guts to bring their talents and creations to the stage.  And if you didn’t perform this week, we hope to see you next time!

Cedar Center Open Mic feat Marlon. (7/28/2015)

Marlon Barnes has been a staple in the AV Music community, you may know his hits “My Baby Has a Mustache”, “MY DICK IS FRIKKIN HUGE SON!”, “Mark of the Ninja.” HIs ability to inject hilarity and irreverence into his lyrics with freak folk backing is unmatched and a sin to miss.

 Cedar Center open Mic is also proud to roll out its new sound system. Installed last week thanks to help from the community and a few nameless benefactors the sounds of our valley will ring clearer and louder than ever.

 We’re free, uncensored and all ages!
