Think of it this way: Lance is normally annoying to almost everyone. The only other person that really understands how Lance feels is Keith.

The reason for this is well like when you find out you're half of the same race you are trying to kill off but yet you're like on the good side and now no one can trust you so you basically lose all those friends you made in one day. Lance here never even had friends because he was considered the annoying basic bitch from day one.

And slowly from then on the two grow closer and closer together.
