you know I think we don't give Squid Kid enough credit. because imagine you're him. you're just playing on Hypixel, and your only claim to fame is #1 potato farmer, something no one cares about.

Then Technoblade, Bedwars-winstreak Technoblade, the Technoblade, comes out saying he's been AFKing on your island for weeks just to get more potatoes than you. any other sane person would take this as a sign to go do something else. but this kid actually rose to the challenge. sure, Technoblade was farming 11 hours a day at the end, but SquidKid was still farming 8. that's a full work day!

i'm just saying, if Technoblade randomly showed up saying he was challenging me for first place in some obscure thing, i'd just hand it to him. but because SquidKid didn't, he created an epic story and one of Technoblade's most impressive achievements. and we still remember him as the kid who lost the Great Potato War.

Hey in light of a thing I just saw, if you aren't disabled, don't post on someone's post about how they feel about the treatment of disability in a piece of media to 'correct' them. I don't care if you start with 'I appreciate disabled people who share their stories'. Clearly you don't. I literally had a post up about to tag the person involved before I remembered I don't want to deal with Sarah Janet fans who pull that kind of bullshit ever again.

This isn't any of my mutuals. This is just a reminder to everyone: don't pull this. "I respect disabled people who share their stories BUT -"

No. No buts. If you respected us you would take five seconds to think about what we say instead of deciding to correct us about our views on how media handles disabilities. I'm blocking anyone who does this. They don't deserve my time. They certainly don't appreciate my (or any other disabled folks') time.
