Forgive me for asking, but what is chain armor? Your post about the tanks intrigued me but all I can find are chain mail tank tops.

It’s a type of stand-off armor designed to protect weak points in tanks and armored vehicles, usually where the turret meets the hull, and it’s based around weighted chains designed to detonate a HEAT warhead prematurely, ensuring the stream of molten jet blast is incapable of penetrating the hull.

It’s even effective against tandem HEAT rounds, since the disruption in trajectory ensures the second warhead doesn’t detonate correctly. 

The Syrians went… A little mad with the concept, but overall it works to stop cheap rocket launchers from destroying your multi-million dollar tank.

Tumblr has updated their policy to limit what they call “Hate speech & hate support groups.” but the definitions are so vague that anyone that they don’t agree with could be banned. I.E. Gun blogs, blogs that have anything to do with violence such as military even if it’s just equipment and vehicles and survival type blogs.
