I'll put my two cents on what i think is going on with the red souls in undertale/deltarune i think the trait of red souls is still just as well to be called determination, and every soul trait is a magical property that has its own benefits if you have an extreme excess of it. for example what if you have a ton of integrity? (the magical property, not the concept lol) the property that it explains in the ball game is "Hopping and twirling, your original style pulled you through." and when you are blue/indigo your soul jumps. to me this means integrity has an effect on your movement/agility, papyrus is able to jump way over us as he is a pro with integrity magic. so heck, if you've got the most integrity trait in the whole world maybe you can just straight up fly unlike every other person in the world (sense we know the power of reset switches to whomever has the most determination). orange would be physical strength and fearlessness, green is healing and defense, yellow is precision, cyan is staying still, if you stay still long enough maybe you'll just teleport to where you're thinking. purple is the most "i have no clue what you really do" out of all of them. (if we're going by underverse standards then it would be the overwrite button, and we all know how over powered that is. much like reset.)

it stands to reason that every soul has a bit of every magic color but the dominate trait is what is shown in the soul's color. as for monsters they simply don't work the same as human souls so that doesn't apply to them. and so determination, or the red trait, maybe a red soul is much more balanced in the amount of every other trait and that is why they list everything else when you first get the red flag in the ball game. meaning they're a jack of all trades and this is why frisk's soul can change colors and abilities when the effects of strong magic are on it? all we know for sure is the power of reset is tied to the person with the most determination and we know frisk and chara have red souls, so two red souls or the remnants of one + a red soul + the player all together has more determination than something that was literally injected with the stuff.

help *drowning* so like what's up with the deltarune universe, kinda seems like all the monsters there bleed? except there's that one loser bunny that makes that seem not true??? why are you here!!

the noelle ones here can be explained away by saying "oh now she's forever under the soul's thumb (and the soul is red)" but susie.... and if sans is originally from this au then him too. anyway i don't know if they all bleed or not and it drives me nuts. if you know what's going on, please tell. not to mention the magic thing. is there no magic in the light world?

but kris keeps looking up how to do magic... i thought long ago when chapter 2 came out that it was just kris wanting to fit in with the monsters as always but i guess it's not that. (if they really are frisk from undertale then i suppose it would make sense to try to figure out why everyone in the new world they got to doesn't use magic sense it was such a huge thing for monsters in their original world)

if deltarune world is basically the undertale world except the monsters won the war then maybe it all makes a little more sense in that the reason humans forgot how to use magic was because they no longer needed it to defend themselves against monsters, and sense the monsters won in this world the monsters no longer need magic to defend against humans..? that's all i've got. if you have thoughts do tell.
