Does astrology REALLY show identity? I’ve been questioning the notion of identity lately, and so far, I’m coming to terms that identity is arbitrary. The only reason why identity possesses so much power is because the human being naturally thinks in a subject-object manner to where identity has to take up mental space in the human mind.

But life is so good at showing how temporal everything is. Are you the exact same person you were five seconds ago? How about three years? Do we start off as a foundation decorated by experiences over time or is the foundation a fantasy?

I think astrology can show the temporality we have within us through transits and how the natal chart works, but imagine working with that notion of temporality and the Very Popular mindset of Western individualism, which has been around for a very long time. It would be very hard to think outside of such a mindset since it’s so strongly engrained in our society and perhaps, our thinking.
