i want to believe carol’s bigger motive for saving the world is to save zosia from it. there is love between them and i think this is ultimately carol’s driving force for finding a way to reverse things, even if zosia’s salvation means that she will not remember anything.

when you get infected by a virus, say the common cold, your body tries to fight it, right? i think those moments when zosia’s eyes go soft for carol or when she’s talking about mango ice cream, individual zosia is resurfacing, fighting for her life!

my interpretation isn’t that the hive is 100% manipulative in seducing carol, but that individual zosia’s body is trying to fight the infection. those are the moments we see between her and carol!
