me remembering the Trollhunter is a permenant position and there will always be threats to defend against and all of Jim’s friends and classmates can move on with their lives after this is over but he’s trapped until the day he dies:

me remembering how Jim already has PTSD from Bular and it’s probably gotten worse since his trip to the Darklands and he has to keep this up for the rest of his life:

me remembering how Merlin made Jim experience everyone he knows and loves dying so Jim would understand the consequences if he ever did try to back out of being the Trollhunter:

me seeing how broken and exhausted Jim is and he’s not even old enough to have his driver’s license:
