So I've been playing The Lost Crown a Ghost Hunting Adventure, and it's been a pretty good time. Great atmosphere, odd people to talk to, it's gross and comfy all the same. But also I really like how Lucy is shown with a skateboard, when I can't imagine this port town being very skate-able at all.

Ok so Brian Wilson's solo album from 1988 has slowly been climbing the ranks of my favorite albums of all time, and it's kinda weird for me to think about. Like I didn't care much for it when I first listened to the album a couple years ago, but recently it just clicked with me and has now become something I listen to everyday.

Some of these tracks are so beautiful and moving and some are just plain fun and goofy, a nice variety that makes it such an engaging listen. There's a bit of Pet Sounds, a bit of Smile, a bit of Wild Honey, a bit of Love You, and a taste of what Brian would write with Andy Paley. Brian still had some power in his voice that makes songs like There's So Many and Walkin' the Line hit really hard, and thankfully I can't feel much of Landy's influence on the album (compared to something like Sweet Insanity). I even enjoy the late 80's sound that paints the whole album, it pairs well with Brian's older wall-of-sound style of production. Some of the synth work on Baby Let Your Hair Grow Long is just incredible.

Anyway here's how I'd rank all the songs:

The woke agenda will try to trick you into thinking that the #Beach boys pivoted the themes of their music during pet sounds but real ones know… real eyes realise….it’s all the same, pet sounds is the greatest act of subliminal messaging through music ever.

caroline, no.. can’t have caroline without CAR… guy is in love with a car and thinks he’s disguising how he feels by writing about some girl’s hair? Appalling.the Enlightened can see right though. Pet sounds and let’s go away for a while have no lyrics.. it’s just noises.. obviously because the lyrics were supposed to be about CARS and SURFING and they decided to hide their intentions behind mysterious titles and instrumentals.. In that’s not me he had a dream so he packed up and split for the city… how do you think he split there??? they were a california band, obviously he surfed from one location in california to the other! “Feel so broke up” in sloop john B is an obvious comparison to how surfboards can break when you’re surfing, aka brian is comparing himself to a surfboard, aka the beach boys are surfboards given human form trying to find women who will give them cars to ride so they can drive back to their home on the beach.. Checkmate liberals

It's so obvious even from the first track. "Wouldn't it be nice if we were older?" the guy is upset that he's too young to drive a CAR with his girlfriend, and the experiences they could have from riding around

I just finished Life is Strange a couple days ago and it's still lingering in my mind. Had I played it when I was younger it'd probably be even more impactful. but for now it's gotten me in a good mood
