Broadcaster John Humphrys gives Sir Peter Lampl a grilling during a donor event at Tate Britain to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Sutton Trust. The Trust was set up by Sir Peter in 1997 to to increase social mobility by helping students from poor backgrounds get into top universities.
The interior of the defunct Shredded Wheat Factory in Welwyn Garden City. The factory has stood empty for 10 years and development works begin this month.
Got this through the door the other day. A nice usage of Tommy who I photographed as he received surgery for his uni lateral cleft lip during Operation Smile’s 2014 mission to Tamatave in Madagascar. I met him again in 2015 when he return to the Operation Smile mission for a check up, we went to play on the beach with his buddies and make pictures.
I saw this van whilst shooting a Condition Survey on Tottenham Wharf a man made industrial island on the River Lee. The site will several blocks of flats built on it but this ‘Delboy Trotter’ type van along with its collection of tyres seemed to belong to an older and different era of London.
Nice to see 6 year old Thadile has made the cover of the 2016 Operation Smile Annual Report. Thandile received surgery for his cleft lip with Operation Smile in 2011. We caught up with him in 2016.

Public not Private march to save North Kensington Library: The march from Labroke Grove to Kensington Town Hall was to protest the decision by the council to lease the 125 year old grade 2 listed building to a private school for 25 years without consultation or scrutiny.
The Golborne ward in North Kensington was ranked as the second most deprived ward in London in 2010 whilst Kensington & Chelsea is ranked as London’s richest borough. The Council was unprepared for the number of local residents attending and the library meeting has been suspended.

4 years old Keale Sebego with his Aunt Linkie. They traveled from Limpopo for 14 hours to reach Operation Smile’s 2015 mission in Mbombela South Africa. He was cleared for surgery and I am looking forward to photographing him later this year. More photographs here.
