you do know the rot affected him from the inside out right. My redesign assumes that Subspace sought medical attention immediately after the incident, when the poison had just begun to affect his skin. Regarding the timeline of the story, the incident occurred three years ago, which is why Subspace has rotted so much (to the bone) in canon, rather than immediately. Also, for some reason, in the canon, Subspace wants to heal his arm instead of replacing it with a prosthetic one, which was mentioned, but since the reason is not specified, we can only speculate why he doesn't want a prosthetic lol

I don't hate people with disabilities, I just want a character who is smart in lore to do smart things. This doesn't contradict Subspace's character in canon
