"No, no, of course not, but..." He trailed off. He looked tired, the bone-deep expression of someone who was weighing the odds of winning this fight. "It would make my life much easier."
"But it's all hypotheticals. What have you heard, out in the world?"
Headcanon;
Castor plays all the angles. He wants the best outcome for the Grid, but more importantly he wants the best outcome for himself.
That is what led him to ally with CLU in the end. The Occupation showed no chance of ending, and risking everything by throwing his weight behind a untested User would have led to Castor being rectified or derezzed. He did what seemed logical: selling out the user for power over Tron City. It was a neat trade and would have left Zuse in charge of a majority of the Grid, and therefore in a position to help others.
Unfortunately for him, it backfired in his face, big time.

When the song began playing, Gem was prepared to leave. Slow dances weren’t exactly her favorite, so she avoided them. However, when Castor came over and offered his hand to her, she couldn’t avoid him. She had to stay in good standing with her friend, and admittedly, he was a good dancer. She plastered a smile on her face and accepted his hand. Once on the floor, she leaned forward, whispering against his cheek. “Why tonight, Zuse?” She used his given name, and not his commonly known one.
"I can't ask for a dance with a beautiful woman?" Castor's smile seemed a little fixed. He hated the use of his old name - at least in public - but he understand why she used it. "Perhaps it was just nostalgia," he teased, gently spinning her under his arm before settling his hand at her waist. "You know I miss spending time with you, Gem. Time outside of work, that is." Work wasn't just the club anymore; now work was trying to keep down the body count in the city.

Don’t be silly, Zuse,” The siren eyed him. Her smile didn’t reach her eyes. “You know I take care of myself.”
"I know, believe me."
Befriending a siren had been one of the riskier moves in his career, but no matter how unnervingly cold Gem could be, Zuse trusted her. Under the layers of siren coding, Gem had a good heart - or, so he hoped.
"But I worry, you know I do." He rested a hand on her arm gently, not forcing her but comforting. "They have you working too hard, my dear, and I never see you visit the club for yourself."

Headcanon;
Zuse, like both his siblings, is bisexual. At least, that's how a user would put it - it's a lot less complicated for programs. After all, the act of interfacing - through circuits - doesn't matter much on gender.
Castor will flirt with everyone equally, but it's not sure if Zuse prefers one gender over the other. It seems unlikely that anyone will find out, either.
