Search me, O God and help me to know what is truly in my heart, and what desires attempt to rule me that are not pleasing to you. Put me into situations that reveal what I really hope in, so that if I am trusting in anything or anyone other than you, I can see that clearly and repent of it. If there is anything in my life that grieves you, help me to see it. I am so used to my sin and so blind to my idols that I need your grace to pursue holiness. Then lead me in the way of everlasting life that I may now, be a taste of heaven to come.
(A Psalm 139:23-24 motivated prayer)
Have some happy yellow chibirds to motivate you! I needed some motivation myself, so these little birbs popped out.
I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. -Psalm 9:1
Psalms 119:10 KJV “With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.”
4 Things to Remember on an Unexpected Journey
1. Expect the Unexpected
Life can be planned but not predicted. If our plans take a turn, don’t lose faith. Our mental and emotional strength is rooted in our spiritual strength. So if we are spiritually strong; if our faith is strong, it will, in turn, enhance our mental and emotional strength. So in order to be ready to expect the unexpected, above all, always aim for spiritual strength.
2. This Is An Opportunity To Grow In Your Faith
Growth is vital in life. Any challenge or setback that comes our way is actually an opportunity to grow in our faith. So rather than feeling discouraged or lost, we have to face the journey head on. Look forward to the chance of proving our faith and growing from it. Anything of value is tried and tested, in one way or another, in order to confirm that it has true value. Our faith surpasses the value of any and all things, so we can’t expect the tests to be easy. They’ll be challenging for sure. But every triumph leads to growth.
3. You Are Not Alone
God knows every facet of our life. He knows every minute and every second that we go through. No matter how alone we may feel at our lowest moment, we are never truly alone. God is with us. So if and when we find ourselves on an unexpected journey, all we simply have to do is turn to Him. How do we turn to Him you may ask? Please find the answer below.
4. Prayer
Our most powerful tool is prayer. It’s instantly available and can be used anywhere at anytime and it’s always applicable. Prayer is how we turn to God and ask for His guidance. It’s in that moment we can truly realize that we aren’t alone and that we can grow in our faith whenever we find ourselves on an unexpected journey.
