never ending boredom | open
This was a stupid idea. This was indeed the epitome of stupid ideas. He’d only just fled the onslaught of female revenge and, yet, here he was, courting it once again. Well, not courting so much as coming for a well overdue ‘chat’. However it turned out, Grimsley just hoped he wouldn’t be too bloodied to leave afterwards.
Instead of doing something safe and productive, he stood just outside her fabulously bright gym, glowering at the lights. He hated how bright and intrusive fluorescent lights were. Already feeling unnerved, he tucked one hand in his pocket, checking nervously for the gift inside it. God knows that he always had no idea what to get Elesa, even when there were in their — shit, did it even count as a relationship? He’d never been in one long enough to know what it was about.
Exhaling, Grimsley readjusted his scarf and slinked forward towards the doors. He pushed them open, the loud creak betraying his desire to remain hidden for as long as possible.
“Shit—” He hissed, slipping inside and letting the door fall shut behind him. Tucking his hands into his pockets, Grimsley squinted through the lights, waiting for his eyes to adjust. Of course she was in here — she had to be in here, otherwise he’d lose his nerve.
Clearing his throat, he wandered forward as he cast another look around, “Elesa? Are you here, love?”
Well, it was clear someone came in the gym, so she had a visitor whether she liked it or not in the end. Elesa had been meaning to oil that pesky door's hinges for weeks now. She'd found herself procrastinating, though, which was a pretty new thing for the model. It wasn't disliked, but it was annoying.
Zebstrika at her side, Elesa began walking further up into the gym's lobby when she heard a disturbingly familiar voice.
“Elesa? Are you here, love?”
Love... There was only one man she knew who called people 'love' and, ironically, it was the one man who betrayed her trust when it came to that very subject. That was a long time ago, however, and, luckily for him, Elesa's angry and bitter phase had come and gone. Ever since her little confrontation with Caitlin, she began to feel a lot better about the whole mess.
Elesa never expected that Grimsley would willingly come to see her. It wasn't an unwelcome surprise, but a surprise nonetheless.
"Grimsley," she greeted, smiling as dazzlingly as she usually would. "It's been a while."
"What brings you to my gym? You wouldn't be looking to earn a badge, would you~?"
